Are there any new cousins other than the three shown on the website (Banban, Poora, and Muu)? |

So far I've only unlocked 2 new cousins... The flower one and the round one (don't expect names, I can't read japanese :P) Now, some spoileriffic info! Read at your own risk There are about 8 different "areas" to roll in, but there are 16 standard(alap) levels. Each level is represented by a different animal. I'm still not sure why a freaking whale needs an island, but this is katamari. I haven't touched the item specific levels yet and I played almost 11 hours yesterday. Item collection is back to the first game- size categories, type, named items (:(), and location I believe. They took the item list off the pause screen. Instead of making stardust, you make tiny islands. When you replace an island, the queen dashes through the old one, but it doesn't turn into the tiny islands. The music, as has been said, is mostly a greatest hits for kd and wlk, plus a few songs. No "you are smart" or "WANDA WANDA" though. And yes, socar, there is poofy love (everlasting love). You wear three presents... A hat, a mask and a body present.... Plus the camera. C'N'R isn't as bad as I thought, but you don't need it as much this time, as levels are smaller (there's only one in which you break 1,000/1,500 m, so most levels are much smaller). You can roll up the king, queen *and* grandpa in the last level. I guess that's about it. Some major spoilers there, so read at your own risk. |

Hahaha, poofy love? My guess is Everlasing Love? Sorry, this was probably before I came here. But, question! Does it have the Moon and the Prince, Houston or the original Katamari on the Rocks? Are there any good new tracks? I'm so excited ! I wanna roll up Papa Cosmos! I wonder what he sounds like?

The new tracks aren't outstanding above the standard songs, but they're still good I believe KotR is back and Prince and the Moon is too, I believe.... 8-Bit Katamari = Awesome. And hard. But mostly awesome. |

I just want to make sure, since I'm planning on importing very soon. (can't ... resist ... any ... longer) Does the Japanese game play in an American system? I mean, you don't have to mod the system or get a Japanese PSP or do anything crazy, do you? |

Just pop the game in and play... *warning* O and X have opposite uses in japan (O is confirm, X is cancel) Its worth importing... I used yesasia for my importer (didn't come with the case, but the have a package deal now) Plus... No cowbear or exact size stages

Speaking of package... The king, in the intro video does pelvic thrusts and when you go to a level, a slingshot or a volcano (depending on level) shoots you *very* close to his package into the distance >_< |

Yeah, I'm sure it IS worth saving up for--Katamari is ALWAYS worth it--but I just blew my entire PS3 fund on a bunch of abused and neglected BIRDS! (Man, I hate people who buy pets and don't take care of them.) Sheesh. I definitely want a PS3 before I want any handheld, so I doubt I'll be getting any MMKD action for a couple of years, yet. |

Oh, I completely missed the question about the levels... There's roughly 12 or 13 different levels spread over 21 stages (not including 8bit). There's two inside a house. 3 around town. (One is snow) 4 in the 1.5m->10m range (one again is snow and one has a zoo theme) 3 in the 10m->70m (one is snow again) One 70m+ One in a desert. Time changes with size.. Day/evening/night In one of the 20cm->1.5m and in the 1.5m->10m areas there is a building you can go into. The 1.5m buliding changes First 8 levels are single staged... Get to the size in the time limit and you're done. Beyond those, most (if not all) have 2-5 stages(you hit one goal and warp or progress to the next section). Item placement is still quirky katamari design. |
