There are about 2434 objects, give or take a few, spread across 89 categories. A few groups from WLK were taken out, and "Vending Machines" is back. There now seem to be two special banners for objects now. A black tag means the object is rare, and a red one means that it's very special and appears in the Names List. Most of these are new to the series and are quite interesting, such as Queen Natasha (hint: she's neither a person nor a cruise ship.) Nested objects (such as the crayons or the shogi set) can now be accessed even if you haven't collected any of the items in the group. The chalkboard accessories are now nested, and the vaulting horse isn't (in fact, it might not be in separate steps anymore.) One oddity is that there are now two versions of the Carp Streamer, whole and separately. The cousins now all have their own idle stances, and some of them are hilarious (Dipp's got the Saturday night fever!) This is the first Katamari where Royal Presents are in the collection(under Celebration[the Daruma category]). They're shown by color, and all presents of a certain size map are the same on the outside. Square serves as both zoom-out and roll-up sound, and Triangle is both zoom-in and bump-into sound. The analog nub rotates the object. Notable omission; pretty much all the musical instruments. |

Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, the cousins had their own idle stances in WLK because I remember Dipp dancin' to a beat, as if he were listening to headphones. I also remember Fujio being *very* bouncy, which leads me to suspect he's trying to act older than he really is (you know, maybe he's wearing a false moustache?). Oh, is it true that the new cousins have their own section in the collection now? I would like to know please .

What I meant by "Saturday night fever" was the dance move where you move one hand back and forth with index finger extended. Each cousin has a drastically different idle animation from the next. More examples: Jungle-lying on his stomach as if in a sniping position Miso-pantomiming the hula hoop Fujio-Russian Kicking Dance! Kinoko-sitting with crossed arms(I like this one) Foomin-doing that thing where you roll your hands around in a cylindrical motion(this one too) |

The new cousins do have their own section in the item list. There are 39 old ones in one section, and 8 new ones in another section. The 'Royal' section is also back, this time with five entries ... the Prince, the Queen, the King, Grandpa, and ... a statue of Grandpa Cosmos ... guess that wasn't too interesting a spoiler . |

Thanks for the clarification! Does anyone have any idea what the new section with the new cousins could be called? Are they different relatives or are they cousins too? |

I've heard them called rookies, but I don't know if that's the official name... I'll try to look it up later

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing, it's the third item, after the king and queen. |
