I flippin love K'nex. Sure, I'm 25 and I actively play with toys..but I love K'nex. I love building massive roller coasters that really work. I have close to 20,000 pieces in a giant tupperware container. Plus I have three unopened sets that I still need to build. ![]() I even had some while I was in college, it's a good stress reliever. When I was seriously ill a while back, I actually sat and counted ever piece. I mean, I was bed-ridden ill so I had nothing else better do to at the time since KD wasn't out yet(was only just hearing about it in preview articles). I should scan in some pics of the stuff I've built.

you counted 20,000 pieces!!!! i'm sick right now, but i have nowhere near the attention span to do that... i voted for lego because one time when i was really young, i threw a knex piece at my brother, and it hit him in the eye... so knex pieces were banned from my house... but i've always loved legos, because even with my short attention span, i could manage to build some cool things... even though they are super expensive, i buy them for myself cause they are pretty cool... |

there's kinda stuff like that for k'nex..but i prefer the large builds like the trampoline tower(6 feet tall) and the roller coasters, and everything along that line...if i had the space, i'd totally build an ultimate coaster. lol yoda...and when i counted, i only had 14,000 or so,

Vix, do you have pics of your masterpieces? The biggest thing you ever built? Love to see them. I don't Lego or K'Nex but I think they're both cool. |

I was a total Lego addict when I was younger. I had a bunk bed in my room at the time... I slept on the bottom and on the top there was no matress, just a board. And on this board was an entire city of legos! I had so many sets, I couldn't even fit them all on the bed at once. I've also been to the original Lego Land in Denmark. Never been a fan of K'nex

I used to totally be into lego's as a kid, i would spend hours plaing with them...then i saw a tv spot one one of the morning shows about how an average adult would take 10 hours to put together one of the larger sets of k'nex...so i begged and pleaded to get the rollercoaster but instead got the big ball factory and took about 8 hours to build it and have been a fan since then. |

Ooo, I used to love K'nex. I had some relatives get me a beginner's set, and that's how I got into it. Never tried out Legos though. I don't play with my K'nex anymore, but back in the day, they were so much fun. |

The one on the left is the screamin serpent rollercoaster(it's about 4 feet long and 3 feet high, I think), the one on the right is the 6 foot tall trampoline tower.(i should also point out, both those were in one of my college townhouses, the trampoline towers was my junior year and the screamin serpent was the summer before my senior year in another townhouse.)![]() I have: 3 Rippin Rocket Coasters Big Ball Factory Original Roller Coaster 2 Corkscrew Canyons Trampoline Tower Musical Ferris Wheel 2 Shark Run Coasters Storm Mountain Coaster And about 5 or 6 mini sets |

lol, i'm like 5'5"...but since my bed next to it was up on cinder blocks, i could just lean over and reach it or stand on my chair...plus my boyfriend at the time who was about 6ft tall was helping me.
after i make them, i keep them up for a while, and then take em apart...whenever i get the space i plan on making then and keeping then together or building one massive contraption. |

I play with legos. I made a town from katamari damacy exacally what it looked like. I had help from my mom who had 3 lego playsets plus 5 mini lego houses I used. It was fun while it lasted because I used a toy ball(it looked kinda like a katamari and destroyed the whole town I built with my mom,big bro,and cousins. |

I love legos, they get my vote. I still remember when I was a little kid and I wanted to play with my brother (he's 6 years older than me) he would "let" me organize his legos by size and color. I buy legos sometimes for presents and stuff, they're still fun to build. My boyfriend got me a Mega Blocks Pikachu for Christmas this year and now he is on my bookshelf all cute and pikachu-y. |

Legos have many more options than K'nex, so I guess they win. Though I really don't have much of an interest in either. |

They have all those specially-shaped pieces, K'Nex are just the Tinkertoys of the future. Legos have ready-made people, buildings, cars, all that stuff. |

![]() K'nex have people, cars, and so on and so forth, lol Since I favor k'nex, i'm biased...but I could never do what I can with lego's that i can with k'nex. I used to be a lego freak when i was a kid, then when i was around 15 or so, i got k'nex and never looked back.

I think that Legos are better for making detailed models, while K'nex are better for making models with practical uses (or at least entertaining uses). |

oh yeah, i can see that. Lego's have the humanistic details while k'nex have scale and size going for them, like the four foot roller coaster sitting behind me that i built last night cause i was bored,
