Lego or K'Nex

Lego pwns K'nex. Lego actually has a whole lot more ability in making specific stuff. K'nex, you can only build like buildings and cars and crap. Nothing really expansive and cool. When I look at a big K'nex set, I'm like, "okay, cool." When I look at a really big Lego set, I'm like, "OMG AWESOMEZ!!!

Meh, lego's never go more than a foot or so high....the stuff i make goes from the floor to the ceiling and across the room, can't do that with lego's unless you had tons and tons of them and that would end up being way more pricey and k'nex would ever be.

I've only seen the first star wars by force in a movie class in college, if it wasn't for that, i still never would have seen it. :lol

I got my boyfriend a Star Wars Lego set for Christmas. When you pushed down on the little Lego Darth Vader's head his light saber would light up red. I thought that was a cute touch.

Did anyone ever have those like, girl Legos or whatever they were called, they were like pastel colors and you built like houses or something? I never had them but I have some memory of TV commercials back in the day...

legos seem to be better for intricate art (like the lego land items). i think this because of the ablity to fill in the shapes with pattern or color. but with the size of the pieces legos can get VERY heavy! they need more support inside them and the weight continues to climb.

the k'nex things seem to have a weight to size advantage. vixxie was able to go 6 feet high but i bet it still weighed less than 10 pounds. a 6 foot tall STABLE lego trampoline thingie would weigh A BUNCH and take way more legos to build (ie more money) than it did with k'nex.
:gba

that is my guessing opinion

well, yeah, lol...lego's are blocks, k'nex are rods and connectors...though one box of k'nex, say the trampoline tower can weigh close to 10 pounds, i believe it was something like 8 or so when i had it shipped. they're not easy to move when they're built, some of the models anyways.

let's just say i have so many k'nex that i can't even come close to lifting the container off the ground

they are a special plastic...i believe the only metal parts would be in the new magnet sets that come with little magnets and metal balls. Not counting the motors, that's about it I believe.
