I give myself a 4. I know I'm horrible at the whole driving scene. I have terrible judgement, so I was wondering how you guys rate yourself. It's kind of crappy though because I get horrible horrible motion sickness so I like to drive to avoid that, but I hate to drive because I don't like driving. You would think that since I drive more often, I would be a better driver, but no. So, do you guys like driving? Any other comments?

I rate myself a six, even though I don't consider myself a great driver, I do consider myself a better driver than some of the loonies that are out there on the roads. I've been driving about two years, so I got my license pretty late. I still haven't gotten into a wreck yet, which I consider a personal miracle. Sometimes, I drive even when I'm really tired, so I have made several mistakes that I'll never forgive myself for. I was so lucky there were no cops around, let's just leave it at that I also speed quite a bit and tend to give in to road rage. Sometimes, I wish I could just follow some of those boguarders to wherever they were going and yell at them for cutting me off. Sure, that'd make me a total bitch if I ever did that, but some of those people really deserve it

I don't have a car. Therefore I never drive. EDIT: I was a 1, I haven't driven in years, but I was never very good, and now I avoid it like the plague. Luckily the military does all my driving now... in a plane! |

I have to rate myself pretty high. Twelve years and only one at-fault accident (a minor one, at that), only a small handful of tickets (and most I could have beaten if I went to court), and no tickets in eight years. Maybe I am one of those loonies, but I'm a safe looney! |

I rated myself an 8; I consider myself a pretty decent driver. I've never been in any accidents (in which I was driving... two as a passenger) and never received any tickets. I always obey road laws even when it's not necessary, like stopping at stop signs on the way home from work after midnight when there's zero traffic. I'll go over the speed limit a bit, but never recklessly. I've managed to avoid at least a few accidents because of my quick reflexes and awareness. |

though ive always felt confident (i am a male, and thats what we do), ive witnessed drift racers, race car drivers and evasive driving instructors... these people are the 9 and 10 ratings! i can not honestly say where i rate. i feel im in the age bracket thats way better than over confident teens and not yet in the age bracket of old man who cant see worth crud.

On my first driving test, I hit a squirrel, then a stop sign, then the squirrel again. (And all because the instructor went "Oh my God, a squirrel!" I swerved to avoid it, hit it, saw the sign, swerved again, hit the sign anyway, then went over the squirrel with the rear wheel.) On my second attempt, I scraped a parked car. I never did get my license. It's probably because of bad depth-perception, though I could just be clumsy. Ha, ha. I rate myself a 1. |

Socar sure know how to tell a good story :rolling and somehow this never-without-a-wreck was funny, too:
Me? I've turned a car over and had a head-on collision with a drunk driving on the wrong side of the road (not at the same time ), that's why I must be a perfect 10 :rolleyes Anyways, I know now that anything can happen and give others as wide berth as possible

I hate, hate, HATE driving...but in LA the car rules so there's no getting around it.Everyone drives like the apocalypse is in fifteen minutes, so I'm a very defensive driver, but even then I've been sideswiped once, rear-ended once (hit-and-run by an old lady!), and bumped several times. I've had one car totalled by a drunk driver while parked in front of my house, one was hit in a parking lot while I was buying groceries. See? You don't even have to be in the car to have an accident. Everyone I know has either been in a car accident, had their car broken into, had their vehicle stolen, or all three. I don't have to play GTA, I can just drive to work. I think I rate a six, but for sheer vehicular bravery in the face of so much idiocy, I'll add an extra point and give myself an seven. |

I never had to drive in a really big city such as LA before. I've drove in moderately sized cities, but that seems really rough. I would give myself an extra point too, if not 2. ![]() And Socar, I'm so terribly sorry about your luck, although I do agree with Karppa, it was a good story.
