So, who besides me, went shopping today? Get any great deals? Any horror stories? I went to best buy today, got my dad a dvd burner and 100 dvd-rs (and another 100 for me) for $40 today, and then got mom volumes 1 and 2 of seinfeld on dvd for $40 total. Also got the family Charlie and the Chocolate Family (the new one) for $4 at target. Also did a little me shopping today too My only horror story would have to be best buy. They had laptops for $250, and I got there at 5 when they opened, and the line was wrapped around the entire building. After we got in, they hit capacity and locked the doors XD And kmart not having the iPod clock radio they advertised <.< |

That was really funny. It would make a fantastic DS commercial
And I didn't get to go shopping today cause my mother blew me off and said she was too tired :rolleyes Unfortuntely it was too late/early/whatever to find anyone else to go with me. Then again, most of the stuff I am buying I am going to have to get at full price anyway, so it doesn't matter I guess. I'm buying a very minimal amounts of gifts for people this year anyway. |

I said I wasn't going to, but I ended up checking out Target. After a late breakfast at IHOP (3 cheers for the "Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity" breakfast!) I was sucked into the Target becaus the parking lot didn't look too bad. In fact, maybe because all the early morning hysteria was over, the store was no more crowded than it would be on a Saturday. I ended up getting a bunch of DVD's (Spiderman 2, Batman Returns, March of the Penguins) for $4 each so I got a lot of people crossed off my list. I know the store sold tons of stuff that morning because when I checked out they didn't even have any more Target bags, they had to use blank ones. |

We went shopping in Columbus and went out at midnight when this outlet store opened. Well, it was one of those stores that are right off the exit of a highway. It was a three lane highway and all three lanes were packed bumper to bumper for about two and a half miles. So, after waiting in line for about 45 minutes, we turned around. Then we went to a computer store (I can't remember the name though) that advertised laptops for 200 or something like that. My brother wanted to pick one up, and we got there around 3 am (the store opened at 5) and there was people camped out and the line went for a long ways. We deicded that there isn't going to be any left over. After all that I started getting car sick a bit so I went home and my family stayed out and went to sears where my mom ran a cart into a pole. This guy was watching her right? Well, when they went to check out, my mom apparenly came an inch away from running her cart into that guy. She can't really stay up all night anymore and handle herself well, as you can see. Oh well. They picked me up some little stuff so I was happy and surprised. |

Yup, Ohio. A lot of my family lives there and goes to school there also. And it wasn't Best Buy. It was a store that we don't have in northern Ohio so I've completely forgotten the name of it. We didn't even try Best Buy...after seeing how packed it was at the other stores that is. Toledo is my stomping ground..this year was the first time we went shopping in Columbus. I think we'll stay in Toledo next year. |
