I don't know about everybody else, but I am sick to death of listening to other people yak on the phone while I'm out eating or shopping or waiting in line or at a concert... And those idiots that talk at the movies! I totally do not want to hear all these stupid, inane conversations, but I can't help it because so many people just YELL into the phone. "HEY, IT'S ME! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I'M SHOPPING! I'M LOOKING AT T-SHIRTS RIGHT NOW!" I'm sorry, call me crabby, but was that really worth calling someone about? Okay, maybe their friend really does want to hear about it, but I don't. I probably wouldn't get so bugged about it if it only happened once in a while, but it's everywhere! And some of these conversations are really personal and I can't believe someone is just broadcasting that information out to the world. Last week I was in a store and some guy was having a fight with his girlfriend on the phone. He was so foul-mouthed and freaky everybody just ran the other way. I wish they had a katamari level where you rolled up people blabbing on cell phones - Im sure I'd 100% on that one. |

That sounds really annoying. Luckily for me, I hardly ever hear annoying phone calls like that. What I do hate though, is txtchat. |

I really hate when people talk on their cell phone while driving the car. Its so annoying. Its against the law yet 60% of people still do it. Also the people with bluetooths, the annoying ones that wear it 24/7. EDIT: I even heard on the news that people were using both hands to text while in the car.

I'm a cashier at a department store and you wouldn't believe how many times I've had to wait on a customer who talked on a cellphone throughout the entire transaction. So rude! I just tell them their total and nothing else.
If they won't take the time to put whoever they're talking to on hold while being rung up, then I won't take the time to be friendly.

Ugh, the worst are the ones with the bluetooth. I work at Gamestop, and as I ring up people, they're always chatting away while I'm ringing them up! Not to mention they look crazy doing so, it looks like they are talking to themselves. |

You gotta love the "cell phone voice" conversations where the person talks so loud, you could hear them in the next county. I hate that. Oh and I hate the nextel phones. Those walkie talkies are the most annoying things in the word. You can barely understand anyone who talks in then cause they either shout into them or they put they mouth on it and gargle into it. Gah. |

Glad I'm not the only one who think these people are so rude or, like the drivers who talk or text, incredibly dangerous. I totally feel for you Arctic and Shy, I can't believe it when I see people who can't even stop to notice that there's a live person at the check out. The absolute wierdest thing is when you're in the bathroom and someone in one of the stalls is talking on the phone - talk about blech! I gotta wonder what the person on the other end is thinking when they hear all that flushing going on in the background

When I was a cashier, I used to glare at people who talked on the phone. It just bothered me, and I totally know how you guys feel. I used to work at Krogers and I wouldn't ask for their Kroger card (which they usually forgot if they were on the phone) and charged them full price. Oh well. (That sounds pretty mean now, doesn't it?)But it's just ridiculous. All of my friends want me to have a cell phone so they can "reach me." Well, I tell them to call me at home, where there is phone right by me. They continue to say how I'm not at home when they call. I say that if I'm not at home, then I'm busy being away, doing things, and don't have time to talk to you anyways. Which is true, after all. |

the only reason i ever got a cell phone was for college. it was cheaper to call home with that than it was for the phone plan the school gave us. since i went out to state to school, it was much easier and a hell of a lot cheaper. |

Right on, fleacollar! There's no law that says you have to be reachable at all times. Maybe you're busy, you know, having a life. I hate when people try to make me feel guilty for not being available, "I called, but I just got your voicemail." Isn't that what voicemail is for?BTW - you're not mean. Why bother trying to talk to someone who's actively ignoring you? |

I couldn't agree more. People seem to get more obnoxious when they are on the phone. It's like the phone, when in close range to a human, knocks their IQ down a few notches. |

I hate how people have to answer every call they get to their mobile, even check text messages immediately, NO matter what they are doing right then. Like we're discussing something important with friends and then somebody gets a message, hold everything while some dumbass friend checks the phone and types something stupid back to a "Hi! How you're doing?" message. Those friggin' cell phones show you who called and when, there's no need to answer immediately if you're in the middle of something, call back later for god's sake... |
