Is there were webpages on this site, what would make good pages? Fan Art Gallery? Cousin Bios? what else? |

i think, if you can, put all of the pictures from the matching game and put them on a page since people keep asking for them... though you might be able to do that in the database anyway. |

You want the cousins without the background? Something like this? Cousin: Harvest I can put up the rest of them if you want. |

Yeah, I pulled it from the flash file, I have about 30 so far. I'll post them in a zipped file after I pull the rest. |

Here you go. There's 59 total. That's including the King and Queen, and a Katamari ball. Some of the images are a much lower res, it looks like all the cousins that say 'new'. They're all transparent png files, and the zip totals 943 KB. I didn't name them, since I'd have to look up most of the actual names for the cousins, sorry about that. All the images. |

i just noticed your the one that sent me the website link. welcome. hate to break it to you though, like the link you sent me, the images don't work either. they don't have a file type associated with them and i can't open them in any photo programs.

vix, you need to extract the files (unzip). rename each image: image-1 to image-1.png you can then open it. heck i will do it for you but dont know where to put it so i will email you the files... crud! our zip software on these machines wont zip it for me... (edit: stupid lockouts man! we have privileges to unzip but can not create files :glare ) i did it, and am emailing the images. enjoy. thanks bloody v! ![]() edit: and i fear your aol address will not allow that much stuff incoming... let me know asap today what you need me to do. i can not zip it here at school sadly... OR just rename them from the original zip yourself and party on!

you can do them as jpg for that matter. some of them need some tweaking and some of them i don't think are from the matching site because at least paula, mu, and nai-nai are very low quality, but it shouldn't be any problem to do a couple of them. for the most part they are done pretty well. |

My fault, late night last night. I use Directory Opus as my shell, so I see them as images without the extension. I didn't even notice that when I batch renamed them i forgot to add '.png' to the filenames. I fixed them and fixed the zip so they're all renamed in it. WinXP can view them in preview if you have the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer installed, even without the extension. |

Also, they're all the quality of what's in the flash. I just resized them to a bigger size in the flash, which is normally fine, since the're symbols and resize correctly. I didn't notice any were lower quality until about halfway through, but just made those bigger too. In the zip, images; 11, 15, 17-28, 54, 55, and 59 are all the lower quality type. If you were to resize them down to the original tiny size they display as on the site, they will look like they do in the game. They just look blocky cause they're like 800% of the normal size. vix: Do you happen to use the AOL browser? I'm wondering if that caused problems with the site. I do use a hell of a lot of css and javascript, I guess I should have mentioned it's built for firefox. |

.jpg will then add a white background to it. .png will retain its blank border (like a gif has). should she want to place it on a different type of background it is best to leave it as a .png file until all layering is completed. |

Ok, so I reproduced the 'blank page' effect. I tracked it down to a bug in the way IE renders XHTML pages, so that's fixed. IE still doesn't render the page correctly, but at least it's not blank now. FF renders fine, I can't get it to display blank, but maybe the fix for IE will fix FF for you. I think I'm comfortable with exposing the page to the forum, it would help to have more eyes on it so I can track down bugs easier. Link My attempt at creating a Beautiful Katamari collection database. It has all the items, just not all the info (yet). Any ideas/comments/bugs feel free to let me know. This is a work in progress that I'd like to release to the community. Sorry for the thread jack btw. |

it still doesn't fully work in IE, you only get the picture but it does work in FF now so I was able to look at it. i love the set up. awesome detail and what not. would be an awesome tool when done. no worries about hijacking the thread, it's rare i get opinions when i ask a question. ![]() you should definitely make a thread for this in the bk chat forum, them more people might look at it and offer opinions.

I went through the main flash and pulled some more images. This one had a few better quality versions of images from the first pack, and some new poses. There's 12 images in this one (and I made sure they had png extensions this tme). Here's the breakdown of the new images 60 = 17 better version 61 = 2 dif. pose 62 = 47 dif. pose 63 = new, king's head 64 = 6 dif. pose (and dif color pants) 65 = 5 dif. pose 66, 67 = 54 better version and dif. poses 68 = 53 dif. pose 69 = new, katamari ball 70 = 37 dif. pose 71 = new, background "glow" of king's head cousins2.zip : 282 KB |

Maybe we should just have a color scheme selection. Like Gamespot does. Just a thought.
