They did a nice job on that one. The one I hate the most is the Katamari on the Swing remix. They tried and failed. Just not the same.

"hey want original music that should have been in the game, give us money!"

About halfway through the game you get to the really weird stuff. That Katamari on the Rocks remix by 5cm Prince is just strange. Then the next stage has Katamari on the Swing with classic Namco game sound effects Overall I like playing to this game's music.

So far I haven't really heard a song that I thought, "Oooh, now this I like." Admittedly I haven't gotten very far, but there haven't been any that popped out at me. For the most part it's just been kind of... there. Actually, I have a question: is the music in the King's levels deliberately not-quite-right? Like, to mimic the fact he isn't exactly hale and healthy at the moment? Or is it just not-quite-right, period? ...I don't like sounding so critical, but I'm having trouble putting this into words that aren't quite so blunt.

Some of my favorites are Everlasting Love + You, Katamari on the Swing SEXY SYNTHESIZER All About NAMCO Remix, Sayonara Rolling Star (Yuri's Remix), and some of the other ones. But Everlasting Love Atom Remix, The Moon and The Prince and Leopaldon Remix, and You Are Smart just got to me. Everlasting Love was all broken up, The Moon and The Prince had TERRIBLE vocals, and You Are Smart didn't sound like You Are Smart at all. o.o Though I haven't heard all of the songs, so I might find more that I love or hate.

XD and as far as I know, I've listened to everything. I like most of it, really... but my very favorite is definitely the YMCK remix. of course, that's mostly because I just really love YMCK in the first place... XD;; I remember hearing about them doing one of the remixes on last.fm(posted in the shoutbox on their artist page), I was pretty excited. so yeah. of course, I may end liking some things less actually hearing them in-game... ha ha.

Yeah, Everlasting Love's one of my favorite Katamari songs, which is actually why I asked if they're meant to sound... distorted, I guess? Because when I heard that remix in-game, I had no idea what to make of it. Aside from it being majorly creepy... which I'm not sure if that's supposed to be the whole point or not. ...What I should do is try listening to that remix while playing, like, Silent Hill and see if it's still creepy in THAT context.
