I have EVERY mode complete and I still can't get 2,000,000 km! On Forever Mode, I end up with 1,994,191 km. I rolled up stardust until I reached 1,979,000 km and I couldn't roll up any more stardust. PLEASE let me know.

I am having issues with that too. I did read on here it helps to get the 9 planets from the co-op mode as well. |

The co-op mode stars help I think, and I think it helps to pick up smaller things in space at first while avoiding the bigger ones, to pick as much up as you can before things disappear. It might even help to grab UFOs and Astro Jets. And jump a few times after you can't find any more, to try to grab out-of-reach stardust. Oh, and Eternal is much easier than the other modes to get 2 million km. It does not end when you grab the King. Edited by slo_bro, Oct 10 2009, 10:33 PM.

Just got it on Drive Mode! I played the Co-op mode again and got three more planets on Drive Mode. This brought my katamari to 1,985,000 km BEFORE rolling up the king. After rolling him up, I got 2,001,784km155m32cm2mm.

Well if you want to look silly you can always use both controllers yourself ![]() Yeah, it seems to me to be pretty tough to hit 2 million without co-op planets. I did it once in Eternal and haven't tried that since, but like 8-10 times since then I have seemingly done a thorough job grabbing everything at the end in other modes, usually after having concentrated on small objects up until over a million km, but my good attempts end up 1,997-something or occasionally 1,998-something. |

UGHHH! Okay so we did all the co-op levels, and I even got the shooting star for all the levels except Make the Moon and Make a Star 10 because it seems to be ridiculously hard. STILL only at 198,000,000 on eternal mode on wake the king. I've played a couple times now and I always go for the small objects first then the big objects. I am completely stumped. so my next round of action is to try to make planets where I have a score of 50 or less higher, worst comes to worst more stardust right Edited by Camiot, Nov 5 2009, 11:57 PM.

The scores you got in other stages don't matter for how big your Wake up the King katamari will become, I am almost sure. If you've tried all the modes of every stage (including every mode for the co-op ones), all I'd know to do is to try Wake up the King eternal a few more times. The final diameter you reach seems a bit random, unless you really know what planets to go after (which I don't). I think you'll be able to reach 2 million without having to play any other stages. |

I was led to believe that you just need to create lots of stardust in the other King levels as these all contribute - it's not about your score on these levels either. So essentiall, start an Eternal level and quit straight away and turn it into stardust. Rinse and repeat a few times? Any confirmation? |

Oh, I bet amount of stardust is a factor too! I hadn't thought of that. So if you haven't been replaying level-mode combinations much, yeah, it'll probably help to make stardust. I don't know if score affects how much stardust a roll will make. |

Ive made a lot of stardust, I've gotten the star dust trophy (yes I was jumping around at the end too) I've made a lot of stardust from just trying to play the level over and over This is my LAST trophy for my platinum and its driving me CRAZY |

So you've definitely played all the stages in all the modes? Sorry, I hope you can get that trophy soon... One thing I have been trying, that seems to increase diameters, is to try to pick up as many of the Astro Jets and UFOs as I can before they disappear. They all follow approximately the same route. Start looking for one of them as soon as you reach space. Once you find an Astro Jet or a UFO, make sure you grab it, then start retracing the path it was taking, and you should find more of them. I think there are six Astro Jets and two groups of 3 UFOs (so six of those too), but you shouldn't have to grab all of them. After you're done going after those, try to pick up only (or at least mostly) small planets, stars and stardust until you have rolled up almost all the colorful stars, then get everything else. Jump a few times at the end, but you already know that. If you're just a little short at the end, spend some extra time just dashing around; there may be more stardust hiding. That approach has been netting me 2,005,000 to 2,007,500 km, so hopefully it will get you to two million. |

Neither can I and believe me I've been trying.I did have an especially good roll once in the co-op world stage where I ended with 1,997,xxx km, and that level does not include the King. I think that would have become something like 2,011,000km if I could have grabbed the King. But it definitely wouldn't have beaten your record. Clearly there's something you can do that is much better than just getting the Astro Jets, but I don't think any of us know what that is

Stuck on this too - pain the bum! Right, managed this today and here's my tactics: Redo the Eternal levels (in the King area) and turn them to stardust immediately - it'll help build your score. Not sure how many times to do this but if you were close on a previous attempt then try it about 10 times. Do the Co-Op levels - This DEFINITELY adds to the Cosmos as the final Co-Op level delivers another Peanut planet When you enter space, DO NOT collect any planet. just move around slowly collecting the stars until you can't find/don't accumulate many any more. Stop and Seach for the UFOs. I found three but apparently there's more than this. Look for the Cousin with stars around him - collect these. Next work your way around collecting the smaller planets working your way up to the larger ones. For example, collect the animal ones, then the untidy ones, then the Whales etc - just go by size. You should then leave yourself with the bright planets, earth, the swirly planets, blackhole-type planet and the King. Collect them leaving the black hole one and King to last - collect black hole and then king. This left me at about 1.998 and I just jumped around and span to collect some minor stars and broke 2,000,000 by about 5 cm haha! Edited by fatboyslick, Nov 16 2009, 03:56 AM.
