If the next katamari was motion control only, would you play it? |

Motion control only would be suck, but I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of it. As long as it isn't broken like in KF, lol. |

I voted maybe even though I would likely get it regardless. I would be more swayed to get it if it had the option to use the classic controls and didn't force it. Remember the natal BK vid. It was awful. I hate that dev's are relying so heavily on motion controls lately. The motion controls in KF were ok but far from being reliable. It worked one in every ten times probably. It was easier to just use the button. Stuff like this is what makes me not want to make an all-motion controlled katamari. IF we ever see a new game...I think at this point....I'd be happy just to have it be all new content. If it was motion only, I'd probably still get it.I have SSX Blur even though it's motion only....though, it's worth pointing out that for the longest time SSX was my number 1 favorite series...I played Blur for maybe a total of an hour before giving up. There's something about essentially have to write the Greek alphabet to do tricks that just isn't fun and it rarely worked even when done right so yeah. |

Meh. I really don't care for it much. I guess an experiment with one game to see how it sells, performs, meets expectations, etc. would be enough. It's cool, but... they should just stick with the original duo-analog stick version.

I would still play it as long as I can still use two controllers to control two cousins

I think the reason a lot of developers are going to motion controls is because of the high sell rate of the Wii. (Not a fanboy, but the sell data for the 3 systems say that the Wii has sold better than the other 2) The Developers want something to compete with the Wii, so they make motion controlling. Heck, even SEGA is coming out with their first console in years and its big thing is motion control. On the subject of Katamari and motion control, I wouldn't mind something like This. |

Nope, Still Dead

It's actually the patents for two controller designs, and USB memory cards. Sega approved all of them. But neither of the controllers actually have motion control - one has an added touch-screen device, and one is meant to resemble the Genesis's six-button pad. That, and there aren't any actual console plans, so far as I know of. So... Back on track, I would only take motion controls if they were part of a separate playing mode, like Eternal. Maybe "Motion Mode"? Even then, what's the point if the motion control isn't any good? |

I saw a console on Kotaku, which is basically a re-release of the Genesis. I'll see if I can find the article again. |
