I am down to my final 13 items left. A couple of them are the norm, like cowbear and devil kao, I know how and where to get them, its just the physical doing of the thing.

Camp my nemesis has 2 items left. :mad I know where the map board is, but I can not seem to track down the new years cards. I know the rare item list says they are with a couple of boyscouts around a bunch of newspapers, yet I still am unable to find them.

The rest of the 13 are cosmos planets. Any tips for finding specific ones would be very helpful. :china
here are the ones that i'm still missing
Cosmos
3-2-4 MAS 11 Eternal
3-2-5 MAS 11 Classic
5-1-3 Clean up Classic
5-2-5 Fireflies Classic
5-2-8 Sumo Classic
6-2-5 Limited to 50 Classic
7-1-6 Small Just Right Classic
theres two that I know i'm missing because i've yet to complete them - MTM classic, also still need to unlock Camp Classic.

I have to finish this. This will be my first Katamari 100% collection. :love Never felt the need before. I do now!!!

So close yet so far

Hey, I found a rope!

New Years Cards - Camp - At the base of the hill with the goal on top, there are several stacks of newspapers. The cards are very near to those stacks. Get them very soon after starting the level, because they disappear later on.

...if I remember right. :doh Let us know. :)

This FAQ may help you with the Cosmos items, but for specific info about the ones you mentioned...I'll have to do some digging around the site. I'll get back to you on that. I'm sure slowbro or vix will have some info about 'em if I can't find any.

Edit: Oops. I just realized you probably saw that FAQ already, which is how you knew the names of the ones you were missing. Oh well. *searching*
5-2-5 Fireflies Classic

From search:

It's one of the smallest ones and kind of hard to spot even when you're looking. I finally found the Siriuses hanging out among the Mercuries, nearly opposite the Earth in the Cosmos.
Not sure where the others are.

Other random tips that came up in the search: Use the jump, use the look button, try to stay small and avoid large objects while hunting for the tiniest planets, play in Eternal. Stuff like that.

Good luck, and maybe others can help.

Thank you Thumbs. :thumbsup

I will look for the cards when I can wrangle the playstation away from my other half who is playing the new borderlands DLC. I had a feeling they may have sized out later on in the level, but wasnt sure.

*edit* I have now found them and Collected them, so down to 12 items now! Camp map (and classic mode for camp) still eludes me!

I always play eternal when looking for cosmos items. Not sure how to stay "small" on that one. Even knowing exactly what they look like doesnt help much. I think its going to be part luck and part just repeating the level over and over again.

*calls for child labour on that one* :smirk

Run you clever boy and remember...

as far as trying to stay small in the cosmos...it can be tricky. the best thing to do is look around with the look feature and spot the items. some move so you may be able to wait until they get closer to you. it may take multiple play through's to get them since it seems quite a few of them disappear after the first size up which is almost immediate when going into the cosmos. some may disappear after the second.

If you're missing only specific planets, look at the icon for the level, it shows the planet. Then just find the planet group in the Cosmos.

Okay I have one final item to get, and SHOCK its Cowbear... Surprise = nobody.

I have discovered that I'm missing a couple shooting stars though. MAS8, MAS9, MAS10 and MTM. I've tried a bunch of times to get those, but not had any success as of yet. I think this may be part of my problem with the 2mil trophy. Does anyone know what times are needed to achieve these shooting stars? Can you get the shooting stars in drive mode, and if so how does that change the time?

Any help is appreciated!

Hey, I found a rope!

Wait, what? Cowbear?! Surprise = ThumbsOfSteel . :P

Yeah, sorry you're still struggling with that one. I may be able to help once I actually beat the game (since after that the King's levels will be in color).

In other news (this won't help you directly): Even if nobody knows the exact time needed for a shooting star in each level, it might help if people posted the time on their shooting star (if there's a screen that shows such things). For the levels Kiwwee needs, at least: MAS 8, MAS 9, MAS 10, and MTM.

That way she'll at least have a ballpark number to work with. Hope that helps. :)

Well, there are a number of youtube videos with really fast times, if you can use those routes it would probably help a lot.

I know my MAS10 route almost always results in a Shooting Star. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eNrIXInMMA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fSzruTI6oU
Those were uploaded before the 15 minute time limit, so it's in 2 parts.

Thanks Drouge. Its appreciated.
It appears that if you got a shooting star that time, you hit 12m before the clock turned to 2. I will have to try it out. Although your route isnt that much different than mine, i try to utilize the king hearts more, maybe thats my problem.

If you have any insight on the other ones, would be very welcome.

Well, there's always Slobro's site http://www.wewantkatamarivideos.com
It's sorted by game, then by level, so you can probably find a few useful ones.

There's also the video vault here.

Thing is there is no way to tell if any of them are shooting star times. I've looked at all the vids on slows site for these levels, none of them really say if they are good enough times for shooting stars. Its what time you hit the required size, not how big you get in the end.

The speedrun videos would probably be your best bet.

MAS 8 equivalent (just add in the first Heart, if that's even useful... it wasn't to me):

MAS 9 (great speedrun at the beginning):

MAS 10:

MTM:

Hope those helped. :)
