How to unlock graphic styles in PS3 Katamari Forever

So the title says it all really - I just bought 'Katamari Tribute' (I'm in Japan and that's what it's called here) or PS3 and I'm not really enjoying the cell shaded look. I know there are supposed to be other graphic styles available - but but I'm not so great at Japanese so I'm not sure how to make the switch, and I suspect I may have to do omething to unlock the new modes anyway.

Can anybody tell me how to unlock the other modes in a way that's clear enough to do even on the Japanese version without understanding much? Thanks in advance.

There are four graphical filters in Katamari Forever. You can only change the filter in a level/mode you have already played through. It is done by pressing R2 or L2.

I don't think any of the graphic modes are non-cell shaded though.

Classic removes the cell-shaded look and puts it back to the textured polygons we know and love.
