I hope we get a next game on the ps4! It would be awesome and you could use the touch pad on the controller to stretch like in TMK! |

if we do get a next game, what would be the plot? important questions more importantly, is there still enough to squeeze out of katamari to make a new game? i worry the series may have grown stale |

I'd like to see one with more in-depth story. It'd make it easier to make interesting and believable fanfics! (plus the dialogue and writing has always been one of my favorite parts of the games...)Oh, and having cousins with different stats (speed, handling, absorb speed, climbing, jump height, etc..) would make for an extra layer of strategy. |

Oh man, did you see that?
|
I hope that in whatever new game we get, every cousin gets an all-new profile! 2 sentences of new information about each one is way better than using the same descriptions for every game... |

I would never wants cousins with stats, we've talked about it here before... But if the cousins had different stats then you would be pretty much required to use only one character to get good scores, etc. Everyone would play as the same one. What if your favorite character had the worst stats? Like if they were the slowest roller now and it took you 10 minutes to size up from the smallest size to 1m. It would make the game unbearable to play. I personally would never cousins to have stats. They need to all be equal in my opinion. Where's the fun in everyone playing as the same character when there's over 50 to choose from?

Actually, that could be some option. Like, all the cousins have different stats by default, but once you unlock them all, you unlock an option to turn the different stats off, so that everyone plays equally. OR, you could have all the cousins play the same, but you could obtain different stats modifiers that you could give to the cousins, like more speed, better turning, longer dash, longer range, etc. |

It would be balanced, there would be no best character. It would have to do with your playstyle. Or maybe you could equip presents that would alter the default stats. |

How about rolling up power-ups? like the hearts in katamari forever. You could roll up power-ups that could make you faster and stuff like that for a limited time. |

I personally wouldn't want presents to be stat based either cause there are some ugly presents and I wouldn't want to be forced to wear them. What would be the point then? I mean, if you could turn it off...it's like the 3ds, the 3d is supposed to be the big draw of the handheld but it's a feature you can completely disable turning your 3ds into an over priced ds. I would much rather have a variety of power ups than some sort of stat based system. I guess I just speak from experience. The new SSX game that recently came out changed the stat system from an even playing field to having each character being different and better in certain areas so on the scoreboard for certain types of events, everyone is the same character. You can't play as your favorite if you want to get high scores or even just pass levels sometimes. Where is the fun in that? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I'm not trying to trash ideas or anything. Just stating my own opinion, etc.

I just don't want to seem like I'm coming off as whatever. I've just had bad gaming experiences with characters that have different stats among each other.

Alrighty. I see what you mean. I just like being able to customize a game to fit my playstyle. That's why I loved Kingdom Hearts but didn't like Kingdom Hearts II nearly as much. |

I always thought the cousins had numbers like pokemon. That could be an addition. |
