I'm saying that its sick to sexualize anyone so young. She's like what, 11 or 12? It's wrong to look at her in a sexual way, and yes, saying she pings is looking at her in a sexual way. Plenty of little girls are tomboys, but saying that, and saying she pings your gaydar sicko, are different interpretations of the same impression. |

Yeah to me, when I say someone pings doesn't necessarily mean I'm looking at them from a sexual POV...sometimes it's just the personality they project etc. Everything doesn't have to do with sex you know. |

You kind of have to look at the word ping though. Maybe it was used incorrectly, but it was used. That word is exclusively used with gaydar(in this context). What is gaydar? That is how we all interpret someone else's sexuality. Sexuality. Did I mention sexuality? This word has no place in any sentence concerning a 12 year old. |

If being gay is just about who you have sex with, then you have a point. But there are a lot of other social and cultural elements to it as well. The little boy on Ugly Betty pings to high heaven. It has nothing to do with how or with whom he has sex. I'm not thinking of him as a sexual being when I say you can see his flame from the moon. |
