Elves

The following is a brief expansion of what the Elves are like and a brief bit of history on them:

Name:
Elves

Life Span:
200 - 300 years

Average Height:
Slightly taller than the average human, elves are also noticeably more slender and graceful, averaging between 6 1/2 to 7 feet and 130 to 165 pounds.

Average Build:
Males are slightly more muscular on average, there is little difference in height between the sexes, and neither sex grows facial hair.

Overall Appearance: Their features in general may be described as more angular and defined; including long, pointed ears and wide, almond-shaped eyes. Most elves have fair skin and dark hair, though this is no more true of all elves than it is of humans. They have a reputation for careful grooming, more so than perhaps any other race. This frequently extends to their clothing, which is luxurious and well-kept, though not to the point of impracticality.

Elves also do not age as other creatures; their physical appearances remain constant from achieving physical maturity to death. Elves do grow physically weaker and mentally stronger as they grow older, and accumulate a "glow" from the strength of their souls as they age.

When it comes to combat, Elves are nimble and quick, but weaker in blows than most other races. So if could in a grapple of some kind, they will surely loose. Elves are known to fight best with twin blades or the short blow for most other weapons they find difficult to wield because of their light body weight.

Overall Personality:
Elves are calm collected creatures, who look upon matters with more logic than anything else. They quick minds normally make them brilliant at tactics and politics but they have large egos which can easily be bruised.

Elves can easily be insulted and the most minor insult can sometimes lead to blood shed. There are a number of rules in engagement in the Eleven society. Often Elves fall out with other races due to these rules for other races rarely take note and process, leading to insult. Here are a list of their rules;

  • One can not touch another Elf directly unless a physical lover, for direct touch is looked upon as aggressive, almost threatening, so the classic human hand shake is normally not advised.

  • One should not eat in front of another, unless the other can been offer and has joined in meal. To eat in front of another with out offering is a heavily disrespectful action.

  • Lovers of any kind should not display their affections toward one another in public, for it’s looked upon as barbaric and savage. The same goes for talking of bodily movements, like retreating to the toilet and such for it’s viewed as a privet matter and shouldn’t be used as public banter.

  • One should not to attempted to flirt or make passes toward another’s partner in any manner. If seen doing, the partner of that Elves partner may slay both persons in question in order to keep his honour and pride in tact.
These are but a few of their laws.

Strengths:
Elves are great thinkers and great inventers. Also their nimble bodies make them quick on their feet and great climber, though climbing is often seen as a savages act, so few Elves are ever seen climbing anywhere.

Weaknesses:
Elves aren’t very strong, so when heavily knock out their be down and out if hit hard enough. Due to this fact, Elves seem to only fight wars against one another, seeing as other races are viewed as to powerful in hand to hand combat.

Natural School Of Magic:
Elves are very skilled in Wind magic but in their sociality one seen to use magic is looked upon as a weak, seeing as that spell caster has to rely on the element in order to win a battle rather than their own physical skills. Yet there are a few who do dabble in the magic arts here and their in the Eleven nation.
