Faith Idea created by Winter and edited by myself Over the years the church has evolved and changed but the basic structure of religion has not. The church believes in the mother and the father, Gods & Goddesses. These gods and goddesses are broken into elements groups for each element has a place in the natural order of the world, while the Void stands in the space between, for where there is good, there is always evil. Stood above all others stands Aragos, the higher power and the maker who watches over his children and witness the heavenly battle of good vs. evil. The earthen gods go by the names of Gashe, Menesha. While the earthen goddesses go by the names of Theleba and Gah-Ter. Like in all the elemental groups, four sprits stands, two of each gender, while the Void holds only one divine being due to the currently balance in the world, for the Void stands almost silence in the mists of the elemental world. The other elements have Malteh (M), Resh-Sha (F), Khaan (F) and Ayestelesh (M) for fire. Millewc (M), Wishnac (F), Garmethe (F) and Naeeshas (M) for Air. Reenah (M), Nereh (F), Tayor (F) and Celmeleh (M) for water and finally Mertenah (M/F?) of the Void. It is believes that the matters of the world effect the heavens. For if there is a rise in Void craft, the heavenly powers of the void will become far powerful and rival those of the elements(the good) and the world in turn will be effected by these heavenly changes. These effects by he disastrous for man kind. It is seen as an ideal way that people pursue to educate themselves and increase the welfare of their religious culture. The church encourages one to be educated in the workings of elemental magic if capable due to the popular belief of it helping tilts the heavily balances in the direction of good, yet the Church also encourages other methods of proving ones faith. Often in religious culture, those who stride up the levels in elemental magic often take up the role of monks or figures in the political or religious world, for they are often seen as god touched. The study of magic though it not looked upon as the only way in which to prove ones worth to the gods. Someone with strong beliefs in the gods can show their belief though prayer and meditation, as well as going on pilgrimages or fighting in the name of the gods during battle and such. Some believe that by understanding of all nature, of all things surrounding them, they will be taken into the arms of the lord in the after life. While others believe achieving wisdom and skill can bring a person closer to the gods. Religious beliefs differ from race to race, person to person but all resolve around the same basic rules. The heavens and the earth are a places where the forces of good fight those of evil. |
