Gordan had been traveling for only so long. He was used to the dirt under his feet and he wouldn't want it any other way. The long walk had been very uneventful. During a stop at a tavern he got into a fist fight and smashed someones face in, but that was all the excitement he had gotten so far. He found himself bored with it all. But promise was on the horizon. A cities battlements could be seen from where he was. He took a swig from a silver flask filled with water. He wasn't risking getting trashed out on the roads. Not until he had somewhere to sleep that was moderately safe. A few men were riding out to him, only about three. They were geared for hunting or camping. He couldn't tell. He only saw a bunch of bundled bags and the such. "Ho, stranger." On called, waving his hand. Gordan raised an eyebrow. He hated people that just had to say hello. They just couldn't keep on freakin riding could they? "What do you want?" He called, readying up. He didn't know if they were hostile or not. "Nothing. Just saying hello." The man called back. He looked kind of at nerves end. He started shifting around in his seat. The dark skinned elf wasn't a very welcome sight. Gordan just increased his pace and walked past, annoyed with the pettiness of it. 'Just saying hello, eh? I'll show you hello.' He thought. He turned with a sudden speed and dug his heel into the rider's horse, making it rear and charge off. Gordan, intent on getting away from the men before they righted themselves, set off at a sprint for the city, kicking up dirt as he ran. He finally stopped, near the entrance, drinking in air to satisfy his lungs. He wasn't as fit as he used to be. He would be fixing that problem soon enough though. |
