"Though I am a simple woman have I studied and traveled far. How much do you know about the politics? Because then you would know that in Enthreas Archmage does not socialize with the common man and his reputation only comes with the news on battles and politics...and you never know which part is propaganda, lies to the common man to keep them from worrying. Only those who enjoy tea with the Archmage can answer to your question with truth." Radeah said with a blank tone. Her god was speaking to her in the back of her mind, hissing and cursing about the foolish drunken man who saw saddles where they weren't. Radeah listened to the hairy man ramble about traveling and then the apperhead cut in. “Heading south to battle…” She nodded as a sign of understanding. "I have seen the battle rage. You are going to face a proper fight." She poured down the rest of her drink and looked inside the mug. Some priests told the future from the herbs she had put in to the drink. She looked at them but all she could see from the herbs on the bottom tell that she would travel. That wasn't exactly news. “Never get close to meat, never know when your have to slit it’s throat and cook it for meat. Easier when you’ve got no feeling for the animal, goes the same for humans” "You do not see the value of a friend who does not understand the human manners of lies and politics." Radeah said placing her mug to the ground. "And if I was to one day slit his golden throat, I would do it feeling honor to be the one doing it. I would mourn and I would pray for his soul but with honor I would let him go." She threw a glance at Giggles. Her eyes had a cunning and sinister look to them. "With humans I do not know about such feelings that would keep me from cutting their throat." “You talk well for a simple woman love, same goes for you to hairy, talk plain” "Well I thank you for saying that. It compliments my simple nature. Words are a weapon that can be more effective than your swords, warrior. If you look at history, more often have words started a war than mere swords. It's good to know your way around them." She smiled and got up from the ground, cleaning her dress. "But I too appreciate simpler talk that does not remind me of politics or the royal." Her horse strolled to her, resting his muzzle on her shoulder. "There there Yagos." She muttered to him and scratched his forehead. Kill them, kill the drunken fool, kill the soldier. They both must die in the name of Mertenah! The spirit was agitated. The Radeah's eyes froze as she listened to the demanding whisper. Silently she denied to obey though she felt strong urge to do what the spirit said. But she knew when it was just annoyed and it was easier to calm down. She would not gather attention by killing two travelers that meant nothing to her. Though the drunken man was talking like a high class gentleman. This could mean he carries connection to people she was planning to get rid of...he could well gossip about running into her. That would make her life harder if people would happen recognize her from his description. Yet again he was drunk now, maybe he would also slip that detail and people would then ignore his words. Radeah sunk into her thoughts weighing her options. |
