"That would be adequate, Lady Remington. I am confident that I could protect you." He fell away from the doorway. His enormous tail moved against the ground to propel him towards the direction from which they had come. It was a peculiar thing to see if she had never seen his kind before. He directed an arm out towards the halls in a polite gesture for her to join him on the return to the outside.

"I'm a monk," he explained. "I think my ideal position would be a librarian, honestly. I suppose I should see someone here about a position like that, hm? Or perhaps you know someone who might need my services for a more permanent job?"

No, he had never seen a female elf before. Male, yes. Many different races lived among his people in the tribe. Unfortunately, the one elf he had met was a little too pompous to ask questions. He had absolutely no clue of their customs. Surely it can't be a custom to oppress flattery, though!

"But enough about me. I'm boring. Tell me about yourself. What is your favorite thing in the world?" he grinned, casting his eyes back at her for a glance. He grinned because he began to remember his favorite things, and began to make a list of them in order to inquire later if this city holds them.
