"Oh, alright, well," he appeared to be a very expressive individual as his brows raised as he spoke, gesturing some with his hands and a slight head-tilt, "I suppose I might be interesting here, but back home I'm fairly average... And the 'Sir' prefix is completely unnecessary. Speak to me as if you've known me forever."

"Fabrics!" he exclaimed after she ended her explanation. "Absolutely! There's nothing like the feel of freshly-woven cotton and silks. I can stand behind you when you say those are your favorite things. As for machinery, I'm afraid I lack any knowledge to be able to explain my excitement." An apologetic, lop-sided half-smile followed.

"My favorite thing in the world..." he sighed, eyes drifting to no location in particular. "That would have to be... laying in soft, wet grass just after a rainfall. I'm never closer to the entire world and so at peace than when I do that. It feels as if nothing exists, has ever existed, but that moment. I also enjoy stories, telling and listening to them, as well as knowing people."

He fell behind a bit, not knowing where he was going and allowing her to lead the way.

It was a simple cloak that he wore. On it was a fasten that was invisible from the outside, so only the folds of fabric allowed any on-looker to see where one side ended and the other began. The only thing unusual about it was the colors. The bottom ended with a vibrant red color, fading up into a kind of mustard pigment. Its hem was lined with gold threads which, together, formed a simple, waving design. On the inside, it was the same. Beneath, he wore an odd shirt. It was sleeveless, possibly made from the skin of a deer, with a tall collar. A thick red sash was tied above his hips where the shirt ended and the draperies around his waist began. They were nothing but loose cloth draped around scales, hiding two feet of him from the red sash down. The cloth was made of a flowing fabric the same color as his shirt.

"We have enough time for many conversations. If you're curious, I can tell you more about myself, but I would also like to know more about you and this city."
