His covered completely in burns, this is from when he decided in order to cover the markings of the void he scalded his entire body, the scars are almost normal skin colour but cause his flesh to be ridged and hard, when combined with his black stare he looks very unsettling[/b] Personal Details Sexuality: Straight, prefers human girls to other races though does like the look of elves Marital Status: Single Education: He was entered into the church when he was very young the last memory of his family was of them giving him to the church this he remembers as an abandonment, never really showing any aptitude for anything other than swordplay to which he was more of a brute than anything else, he did learn to read and write though it took him a long time to achieve. Because he wasn’t very good at literature and proved to be brutish he was set to learn some magic. The priests decided it would give him something to focus on and become more placid, he showed signs of being apt to fire magic however he was slow to learn and what he did learn he used for practical jokes, when left in the library he began to research things and distract himself from being a nuisance because of this he was left to spend most of his days in the libraries where he gained access to much of the knowledge there, it is also where he first learnt of the void, he quickly discovered he could turn that knowledge into magical skill, and he very quickly progressed in the void. Academic weaknesses: he failed at just about everything, being just about able to read and write, he is slow to learn anything unrelated to the void and has an extremely short patience with anything. Main goal (dream) at this point in time:At the moment he is using his position to train more void users, he eventually intends to destroy the high arch mage valentina and cause the church to fall into using the void magic’s though he does this secretly and he masquerades as an advisor to the church, or a homeless old man outside of the church. Overall Personality Description: His sense of humour makes him seem cruel and kinda evil, he enjoys causing pain and suffering purely because it amuses him, this can lead to him being very heavy handed over the slightest mistake. At first his magical studies drew him toward the fire spells but he always used his spells quite cruelly often for practical jokes, this led him toward the void to which he found himself an apt student often teaching and discovering things on his own. He also has the issue of teetering on the brink of madness, often he will have thoughts in his mind of which he doesn’t know the source, however these thoughts often provide a greater insight than he has, he is also naturally quite paranoid of people, he is always second guessing people and never truly believes people help him for anything else than to get him to do their wishes or to hurt him or steal from him, the aspect of madness and paranoia lead to mind spells having a much faster and longer lasting effect on him Background Details History/Background: His earliest real memory was being given up to the church by his parents he remembers this as a painful memory of abandonment. He grew up in the church learning as others did but showed very little aptitude for anything, some priests accused him of being slow or a halfwit, he eventually learned to read and write at the age of 14 which was when he was allowed to go into the library unchecked. Before this he was showed some basics of swordplay to which he took very quickly but the priests decided his fervour for it was a bad sign, they tested him for magic ability displaying some for fire magic they set him to learning it, however he progressed very slowly and the little he learnt he used in practical jokes often cruel and humiliating to people. When he was let in the library he began to learn swiftly though little caught his interest it happened one day he found a book, which made a passing mention of the void magic, this triggered his interest and he began to study it extensively, he found that applying what he learnt was very easy, easier than anything he’d ever learnt before, this caused him to progress very swiftly in the magic. One day however he noticed his body was becoming a horrific site, realizing this means he may be discovered he set some bath water for himself one night and made it dangerously hot, he then completely submerged himself, the pain was like none he’d ever felt before the pain was unbearable but by sheer strength of will he held himself under, once he emerged he could barely stand as he collapsed he managed to spill the bath to make it look like an accident. He was found and nursed for months until he returned to health ever since burns spanning his body have horribly disfigured him. He was later found to be practicing the void, only a few of the priests knew of it and those that did were high up in the church it was decided he would be the advisor to the church on matters concerning the void magic however because of his cruelty and strength of the magic he would be restricted to the church and was forbidden to leave. This is his position today, though he uses those learning about the void to gather more and more people adept at it in hopes of one day pulling the church down into using the void and destroying the high arch mage valentina Magic Stats To start with you have 10 points (1 point is worth 1 level). I love your idea on how to cover up his use of Void Magic, very unique. He's going to be a very interesting character to role-play with. Accepted. |
