"This has gone far enough!" Barked Secretary Hoff Morgensturm to the Royal Guards near him! "I want this contained and I want this farcical display of blatant disrespect quelled! Get the Guards to take the Royal Family to safety! Mobilize the garrison! And quell this riot! I will not stand for this bloody disrespect to our late king no more!" For a dwarf, Secretary of the Empire, Hoff Morgensturm was small but he commanded enormous respect and equally enormous fear. His voice, thundered as be barked order for several of the mages to keep an eye the Royal Household, mages who only answered to him. It paid to have your people watch over your back and your job. "Move your asses! Get them out of here!" Hoff surveyed the crowd and the ensuing confusion, and knew at once that this was an inside job, someone powerful enough to pass through the eyes and ears of the circle of the interiors and niches of power. This is only a display - a warning, and catching the perpetrator was not of primary importance right now, the most important thing was keeping the crowd in line and make sure that no one would be hurt, after all Hoff's methods were not of an Inquisitional standards. |

Looks like the pub probably wasn't going to happen. Wonderful, Varetine frowned at the thought. Not only that but with the exploding coffin, ... Excuse me? The coffin exploded? In a moment off odd quiet before the crowd erupted Varetine's eyebrows creased themselves into a questioning expression. Obviously this wasn't tradition. A terrorist act maybe. Either way there wasn't any time left to think, The crowd dove over around and past her, and she found herself being pressed back towards the incident by a large number of hands. She couldn't push through the moving crowd, and the strength of terrorized people made it impossible for her to get past the people pushing her backwards. The Secretary calling out commands at the stand helped little. It seemed that most of the crowd couldn't actually hear what he'd said, and it just brought more nervousness, in fact everyone around her smelled frightened, it permeated the air. Eventually she was close enough to the center, and her size shifted her right through the guards me standing by the crowd, trying to get them to stop their incessant screaming. Of course, she sort of flew out of the in between the guards, landing on her rump. "Well that was exactly the opposite direction than the one I was heading towards," She said calmly, hoisting herself up to her feet, and Patting the dust off her coat and clothes. She rubbed her nose, which no matter how flat and close to her face received even more of a beating on the way out of the crowd. The guards had their backs to her, she had been thrown out of the crowd and into the actual procession, with all of the Nobles and officials and people she probably didn't want to be standing with. Of course, she looked back at the crowds and the guards. There was no way she'd manage to get out of here that way. What Luck. |

Giggles roared in anger as people rushed around him, under him, into him. Each knock sent him stumbling and rocking, balance wasn’t his strong point. Gritting his teeth he drew his blade forward, causing some terrified glances and forced the tip of his blade into the ground before him and grip onto it tightly for balance. “Make room!”, he roared as he swiped his huge right hand to one side, knocking a number of people sprawling into the ground, their bodies getting trampled by the passing mob. "You there, Soldier of Istria", "I need you and your men! Will you aid me? Get your wife to safety, and get some of your men and follow me." “Goes with out saying sir!”, Logan shouted back over the noise of the crowd. He turned for a moment, still gripping his steel and gazed into his wife’s stare, her eyes said nothing. She wasn’t behind this. With a smile she quickly grasped the bottom of her dress and jogged off into the crowd, after a few steps she was gone, shadow form most likely. Turning away from the crowd he met eyes with one of the other guardsmen, his glance was startled, fearful almost. With a smooth action he sheathed his blade and called out toward his other guardsmen. His words were met by a number of hard stares. They were quick to gather around him after another small bang erupted from the coffin, most likely traps gases of some kind. “What are you plans?”, Logan asked as the men came together, some staying where they were, doing their best to calm folk down and keep the crowds away from the royal. Muttering a prayer for a moment, Logan cast a calming spell over the surrounding group in order to do his best to keep things under control. “myself and a few of my men are magic capable, but we’re no battle mages sir”. |

Being a child, Ciri could not help but cry. All she knew was that there was a loud sound and fire where the King was. She got scared and held the Jester's hand tightly along with her doll ans tears fell. The guards took the prince but to them, she was merely the aide of a Jester and none of their concern. She quickly followed the Jester and even at their distance, she felt the heat and seeing people scream or panic did not help the child. It only made her more fearful but the Jester was still at her side which made her feel a bit better but not much. |

"Calming spells will be of no use here!" Maximillian wrapping his hands inside a pair of what seemed to be a hard leather gloves with small metallic contraptions attached to it, "I want all of you to cover my back! This is no ordinary magic and its not all, just be on your guard and be prepared for anything that will happen!" In the heat of the confusion, Maximillian noticed two figures at the corner of his eyes: A big hulking Apprahead who was now seemingly having fun in the middle of this fiasco, the other figure was a small Teribori, an old acquaintance from the docks several days ago, varentine. Picking a moment to seize whatever opportunity he had, Maximillian, High Lord of Nautilla, turned towards the small Teribori, "Young Master Varentine! I have a task for you brave soul! Fancy that it should be here that we are fated to meet once more. Master Varentine, I would like you contact that Apprahead over there and ask him if he could aid us? Hurry young Master lest more mayhem ensues!" He had no time to lose over chatting with the Teriborean and Maximillian once again turned his attention to the guard beside him, "I want all those who are capable of magick in your group to cover the other men who are not gifted with the arcane, Guard of Istria, we need to get to that coffin. The explosion is not an explosion. If my guess is correct is correct you may yet have your chance fight a creature of great malevolence. Hasten and arm yourselves for I think that the beast will reveal himself any moment now." |

"Hush! Hush! Quick we must be milady!" The Jester trying his best to talk to Ciri amidst the confusion. "Must get out quick we must! Lady Ciri and her doll must get to safety and far from danger! Dilly not! Dally Not! Quick as horses we must flee!" The Jester felt something was wrong. Very wrong. His old scars knew several void users were present but he didn't know who was involved and who was not. The wounds at his back bled a bit but it didn't show, thanks to the many layers of clothes he was wearing. He knew that he could not be of much help himself seeing all the magic he was allowed to do were simple fire tricks which he used from time to time to play tricks and entertain people. No taller than Ciri himself, he tried all his skills and powers of persuasion to calm the little girl, "Lady Ciri we must go now. Tears and sobs will not save us! Come we must be as horses as you say and run run run away from this bad bad place!" In the ensuing mayhem and confusion, the situation grew from worse to disaster. The ground quaked and moaned and the Jester knew that something really bad was about to happen. |

"But Mister Jester, where do we go," she asked him as he made her run on. Then the ground began to shake and the Jester felt her hold tighter. "What's going on? I'm scared," she added. Ciri did her best to hold back her tears but the fear of the chaos was in her and it didn't help that the only person who seemed calm was the Jester. Even then, she sensed that something was not right with him. "Where can we go?" She repeated and people around them ran into a panic. As a person ran past Cir and knocking into the child, her doll was thrown back towards where they came. She pulled from the Jester's grip and went to it. She kneeled down and picked her up, "I got you, it's okay now. Mean people won't hurt you," she told the doll, stroking it's hair lightly. When she stood up, she could no longer see the Jester. "Jester?" She said spinning around looking for him. Then she felt the ground tremble again. |

This certainly had been the last thing she had expected from a funeral. In the middle of her annoyance filled moment mixed with boredom the coffin had exploded. Pieces of wood had hit her with power, almost knocking her out cold. Thank god for armor. She stared at the burning remains feeling odd tingling in the back of her mind. Did I cause it? It was a stupid thing to think about but for a second she was truly panicking about her involvement. Her heart was racing for the first time in a long while. Well, it raced all the time but not because of fear. Now she was slightly afraid. Maybe more than she could ever admit to herself. Indigo activated her battle mage's spear. People were screaming and running. It was chaos. Indigo didn't care for chaos. Fear was replaced with annoyance. Some person bumped into her and she roughly pushed him away, causing him to fall on his face. Another man running past her she knocked out with her spear. People were running like a pack of rhinos, ignoring anyone getting on their way. They would walk over anyone. Unfortunately for them Indi wasn't someone to be stomped on. "You idiots! Settle down!!!" She roared making people closest to her actually stop. They stared at her with widened, fearful eyes not knowing whether to ignore her or not. Their eyes wandered to her weapon. Ah, that is what you are afraid of... As long as they would be staring at the glowing red needle on the weapon they would stay still for a while. She threw a glance at the place where the coffin had been. She shook her head and whisked her hand at the people who had obeyed her and they proceeded to get home, though this time they weren't running anymore. Idigo raised her look sighing, stepping away from the burning corpse. She glanced around looking for anyone needing her services. She was a soldier, a battle mage, she could not just leave. Others of her kind had scattered around heading towards any situation that needed an extra hand to get through. |

"Calming spells will be of no use here!", "I want all of you to cover my back! This is no ordinary magic and its not all, just be on your guard and be prepared for anything that will happen!" A few of the guards quickly moved to the mans back to lend him their support, while a few others, Logan included looked to protect themselves more than any other. The fellow may have spoke with authority but Logan didn’t want to trust his life on just that. "I want all those who are capable of magick in your group to cover the other men who are not gifted with the arcane, Guard of Istria, we need to get to that coffin. The explosion is not an explosion. If my guess is correct is correct you may yet have your chance fight a creature of great malevolence. Hasten and arm yourselves for I think that the beast will reveal himself any moment now." It’s didn’t need saying. Logan was already casting up a Fire shield for his own protection which had roared of it’s own to add to the noise of the moment. The flaming mass rose to Logan’s side, causing his body to break out into a cold sweat yet he made himself ready to move the shield in his way to block out any incoming blows or attacks from whatever they were readying to face. In his fist he grip his blade tightly and held his ground until the others moved themselves. He wasn’t going to throw himself forward in a hurry, that was for sure. |

"Jester! Jester! Help me!' She said in tears but she didn't see the little man anywhere. People bumped into her down constantly. No one cared about the little child in tears, lost in a panic. She wandered trying to find the Jester but no one would help her. She began to cry as she got more lost in this mess. "I want to go home," she sniffled just plopping on the ground, hoping the Jester would find her. |

"There! Over there!" shouted the Jester as he now appeared riding two large Appraheads who were in the employ of the Royal Household. The Jester was shouting commands over the first one's ear of whom he was perched. He held on tight as tight as his frail muscles would towards the helmet of the Apprahead who was by unfortunate circumstance, rough. The second Apprahead who was with him carefully pushing the sea of crowd while the Jester blared at the first one pointing and giving directions at the top of his lungs. "Blast! Confound! Fiddlesticks and Grumfeets! Over there to the left you blustering buffoon!" All the while the two Appraheads bumbled and fumbled, adding more chaos to the fray. The Jester knew it was futile and jumped on the people's heads with the agility unrivaled only by skilled assassins. Using the noggin' of evrybody as stepping stone he jumped his way to and fro towards the direction of the young child. Thank God for the special bells the Royal Family used in their clothing, which by a small amount of strong magic, was similar to a distress call and the Jester who was now hopping along much to the irritation of many held a small magical device which seemed to search for the faint signal of the bells. Then he finally found the child. "Hold on! Must hold now Lady Ciri!" the Jester grabbing the child's hands." Don't let go of your doll and my hand. Were gonna fly!" Using small deft of hands, the Jester took from his puffy overcoat a small rubber like object. Tying it to his waist he threw a little fire magic and the device popped and like a balloon, it flew along with him and Ciri who now rode, piggy back while they drifted towards a small tower. "Far away from trouble we must go! Don't let go." |

She held onto him tightly, sniffling as the flew. She had been really scared. "Thank you Jester," she said softly. "I'm sorry I got lost," she added softly. She couldn't wait to get home, this had all been way too scary for her. ((I have a room so you could continue there if you feel the need.)) |

Of course all the ruckus got into Varetine's head, which was killing her. Metaphorically of course. Maximllian was up there. He had shouted something about the Apparahead. Did he want her to go get Giggles to help. But that would mean going back through the crowd. She couldn't send herself back through, that would certainly be suicide for one so small. But. She was an acrobat right, or at least someone who could jump well enough, if she could get a good start she may be able to get up on top of someone's shoulders and make her way from there. Backing up a little, she found she had very little space to go by. One foot after another she managed to run about three strides before launching herself into the crowd. Lucky for her she managed to land, rather awkwardly on a man's shoulder's. It took some effort for her to keep her balance, even with the man grabbing at her ankles. "Sorry, Sorry," she exclaimed and then with some remorse dug into his shoulders with her feet, preparing for another jump. Remarkably enough she managed to get about two thirds of the way to Giggles, jumping from person to person, before she managed to lose her balance on someone's shoulders. She was already beginning to feel uncomfortable about jumping around on people and began to attempt to get herself to believe they were nothing but moving targets, and not so much the people they actually were. But of course her loss of balance caused her to topple over onto someone. They, the victim, managed to maintain their balance while Varetine, half clinging to them, clambered up onto their shoulders. Of course, this man was not particularly happy with her behavior and although she apologized multiple time, he managed to grab her ankle as she jumped toward her next target. The cause much the same scenario. And as soon as she managed to clamber up on top of the next person and shake her ankle out of the angry man's grasp, she continued onwards. Finally managing to leap of Giggles 's back from a taller man's shoulders she sat down and caught her breath. "Hello a... ah...gain, Giggles. Care to head toward the actual parade. Ah... I...ah... Beleive a friend of mine... ah... needs your help." She panted, " I'm going to sit up here if you don't mind." She continued o try to catch her breath. "I'll treat you at a bar... ah... later." |

Giggles stared down hard at the pretty blue little lady before him. His beady little eyes watching her intensely as he tried to concentrate on what she was saying and not lashing out in rage upon everything around him. In these conditions he was under massive emotional strain; some might class him as a berserker and the rage of the crowd was really getting him in a heated mood, which was good for a conflict, not for a conversation really. “The pub!”, his mind hear the works and become, well rather fixed on his goal. “Oh no your not waiting here, I want to find you when this is all over, oh and throw a kiss on the cheek at the end of all this and I‘m your for all time”, he said with a wail horse laughter, that came off more like a grown than anything else. In the heat of the moment, a horrid grin formed on his face and he broke into action, grasped his sword handle with a white knuckle tightness and with a heave he drew his blade from the street floor and wrapped a massive hand around his little friend and gave her a graceful lift up onto his shoulder in order to get her though the crowd with some ease, rather than have her get battered by the masses and possibly killed. The crowds had thinned out a bit by this point and a number of folk close by had already noticing the massive body of Giggles starting to heave its way off toward the action before him. His massive mighty legs knocked against passing folk, driving some to the ground, while others stumbled away from the blow in retreated of further harm. Mean while Logan was finding it difficult to stand, as the heat from the coffin was growing greater and greater and a horrific form was starting to rise up and rise of the band of fighters. Great masses of smoke vomited from it’s horrific flames, filling the air with the stench of the Void and a almost suffocating thickness to it. Logan’s nostrils burned with the smell of it and his eyes were streaming tears from the ash now raining over the scene. In the mist’s of the flames a howling scream screeched over the scene. It almost sounded human, spirit like. (Bring forth the epic final fantasy music Oh yeah Giggles won’t be able to make to much contact with Max seeing as they have met later and not really recognised each other. Also same goes for Logan and Indigo.)

"And here I thought today was going to be boring, ya know?" Kite said as the coffin exploded. Naturally, he had been caught quite off-guard by such a thing; Who ever heard of a dead person just blowing up? Well, unless it was someone's way of desecrating the former king. Not everyone loved the goverment, after all. "Oh...Crap. This isn't going to be good at all." Kite muttered as the crowd started to panic. A hand on the hilt of his sword, Kite pushed forward as the crowd pushed back, carefully managing to avoid being knocked over and trampelled by finding small spaces in the horde of people; It helped he had already been near the line of guards to begin with. After a few moments, he was close enough to hear them make preparations for combat. Combat against what, he didn't know, although it made itself apparent. Kite whistled again as the flaming monstrosity took shape. He covered his nose and grimaced as the stench of the Void filled the air. "Ballsy, using void magic in the open like this. Is that an elemental? Never seen one like that, ya know." He said as he drew his blade in his right hand. He was fairly certain that material weapons would be useless here; But he might as well make a show of it. "OI! What are you guys waiting for?" He said to the various guards shrinking back from the creature. "Figures that you lazy city types would have no backbone." Kite scowled as he formed a small patch of flames in his left hand. Arching back, he threw the ball of flames right at the apparition. 'Elemental or not, this will prove it. Damn, I wish I had paid attention and learned some of these higher ranking spells. In any case, the source of the magic has to be close. Gotaa draw 'im out...' Kite thought to himself as he quickly got on his toes and shifted position. He wasn't about to stand around and be hit after attacking. |
