Logan’s hand slapped against the doors of the house of justice. With a heave he thrust them open, letting the two massive masses of stone and timber creep back and clap against the hard black marble of the walls of the hall way.

Taking a shuddering breath Logan recomposed himself as a gust of ice air rolled over him body unsettling him further, not helping much seeing as he was already crapping himself about this whole matter.

In stood in the mists of the great hall way for a moment as he brushed off his tattered uniform and tried to make himself look presentable. He had already gained some attention from a few members of the Inquisitor. A number of practitioners stared in the mists of the great hallways. Their body clad in black, their faces bound in black masks and their small eyes staring accusingly. For a moment he though they would rush forward, take a hold of him and drag him away fro interrogation, but nothing happened.

Pressed onward he wondered the halls for a time till he finally came to the doors of Arch Inquisitor Banza office. With a sideways glance, Banza’s sectary nodded, admitting him into the room. He stood for a moment, a sickening feeling tugged at his guts. He bit down and swallowed the bill and recited a pray for a moment if only to himself and hoped for the best.

Indigo followed Logan in silence. At the door they made her stop. "Your weapon m'lady." The politeness of the guard seemed almost ironic to Indi's ears. It was like a hidden threat. If she wouldn't pass over her spear, she would face a fight. She gracefully handed it over. Somehow she was starting to question why she had come here. Was she so adrenaline driven that she had to face things that gave her the creeps? At least Inquisitors made her feel something. When she killed, nowadays she felt nothing. Perhaps joy occasionally. And it did give her an adrenaline rush, but rarely did she feel worried and on her toes like she did now.

Indigo stopped at the secretary's. She hadn't been personally invited so she wouldn't cross this line unless Banza invited her in. She wasn't that thirsty for a fight. She saw no reason for disrespectful behavior. Instead she froze to her feet and wiped off some dust from her skin. The secretary gave her a glance like she had been making a big mess but she ignored it. Few dust particles wouldn't show on the ground. Who was that desk rat fooling with her stare?

Logan took in a shuddering breath and pushed the office door open, revelling a huge white room. The room itself was large in scale, the furniture huge and might. The interior was clean and smooth and well lit by the number of huge windows lining the west wall. The view stared out toward the palace, displaying the magnificent of the grand building in full effect.

For a moment Logan simply stood and stared at the room, took back by the view for moment but remembered himself and stepped forth into the room slowly, making his step soft, yet they still seems to boom in the expanse of the room.

“Ah you’ve arrived and you’ve brought company”, Banza powerful voice suddenly filled the room as he stepped out from behind one of his large book cases. His eyes fixed on the pair as he stared at them with his hard green eyes, a firm smug look licked at his lips. Unlike the rest of his order, he stood in a long white jacket, his hands rapped in a pair of white gloves, his silver hair long and drawn back from his face. His appearance was spotless, clear, sterilized. Ironic, man of his line of work appearing to clear.

“Come on if you please”, he said to the pair as he wondered toward his desk, feet clapping on the polished floor as his moved. With a flawless moment he flicked up the back of his long jacket as he dropped into his large leather chair behind his desk and let himself become comfortable. Before him, his table was arranged in a almost obsessive order. Everything had a place, every paper piled perfectly, very quill in line.

Logan took idle for a moment, he glanced over his shoulder toward Indigo, meeting her eyes and taking in a heavy gulp and strode off toward ?Banza’s desk and let himself be seated. Banza had set his room out well, his seat and desk was rose slightly above that of the chair Logan was sat in, forcing Logan to gaze upwards towards Banza old face, obedience and respect was compulsory here.

Logan looked anxious when Banza invited them in. Indigo remained few feet away. She was calm. Unlike the guard in front of her. She just didn't care enough to feel anxious. She had done nothing and she was deadly silent. As long as she didn't open her mouth she wouldn't get into trouble either. She would speak only if she was spoken to. Her stare was empty.

Indigo walked after Logan. He seemed like he would need some moral support. She wasn't fond of Banza but she could stand his presence in a business like manner. If she remembered right she had once shortly worked for the man. It had been one of her freelance jobs. She nodded politely to the inquisitor and gave Logan a slight nudge forward. No use in standing at the doorway for the rest of your life.

Banza’s eye’s stared down hard at Logan for a moment, his lips drawn into a grim scowl as his eyes lingered over Logan’s scared arm for a moment, making a point about the fact he had taken note, their was no hiding it seeing as his clothing was already ripped form the conflict earlier.

A shuddering breath forced it’s way from Logan’s lungs as he watched the old man look his wounds over. It was all over, tomorrow he would be found face down in the docks, bloated and dis…. ”Dear mister Longley, I have a offer for you”, what in god’s name is this. His heart was beating like a drum, his muscles were growing tense, should he run, hopefully retreated before he was thrown into the cells below.

“Due to your current…..circumstances, I would like to offer yourself and your wife some support.”, does he know of her as well, or if he simply trying to lead me astray, see my reaction, play me the fool?, Logan’s face staid un-flinched. He was beginning to wish he hadn’t invited his drinking buddy along, this wasn’t turn out to well.

“Have you ever though of joining his majesty royal Inquisitors and yourself, Indigo if I recall correctly. Both of you seem rather willing to bring down a criminal or two, would you be interested in lending you services to the crown?” A offer for Indigo, are sentence for Logan if he read Banza’s expression correctly.

Indigo's brows shot up slightly when she heard the proposal. Inquisitor? Her glance was hesitant. Was the man actually serious asking her to become one of them? Was he sane? Maybe he had taken a few too many drinks that day. After few seconds she, however, saw she should reply to the man. "All due respect but I am a soldier. I haven't been trained to treat people nicely. I attack to kill. Your criminals would die without a trial." She said nodding and folding her hands behind her back. She wasn't sure she was what the Inquisitors looked for. Unless...they were actually hunting for someone with little or no mercy at all....

“Hmm a pity but never mind”, Banza replied with a shrug giving little care to the matter, wasn’t like he already had a lot of muscle in this place any way. His eyes move toward Logan and stared intensely. What choose did he have, if he refused…well he would rather not think of what might happen to himself and god forbid his wife.

“I accepted”, Logan said with a grunt as he pushed himself to his feet and planted to firm feet upon the stone floor. He didn’t like this situation and he sure wasn’t going to like this new line of work, yet something felt kind of right about this, he couldn’t put his finger on it how ever.

“Wonderful, I’ll sent for you soon, confessions are needed”, Banza said with a wave of his hand as he rose to his feet and moved slowly back toward his book case. It appeared they were dismissed. With a grunt he turned on his heels and strode off toward the doors.

Indigo glanced at the Inquisitor and turned her back to him without a nod like she usually did. He talked about confessions. It always meant torturing as far as she knew. Unless the criminal was so afraid he'd spill it out before they laid a finger on him. She was familiar to torturing, having done it herself. Even she herself had been tortured by the enemy. To Indi it was a pointless process. She'd rather kill. In other words, she never offered a chance to the criminal. Offer her a job as a criminal catcher? No. Offer her a job as a killer that she is? Sure.

She walked out the door and sighed. One of these days she would care so little that she would end up killing her own mother and yelling at Banza's face. That would be the end of her life, for sure.

“Huh and this day started so well”, Logan grunted as he closed the doors firmly behind him. His stomach felt unsettled, it wasn’t a pleasant feeling. He let his back brush against the wall for a moment as he help keep his balance.

“Thanks for the support by the way, sorry for dragging you in there”, he said with a smile. His skin had become rather pale but was starting to regain it’s colour. A few beads of sweat ran down his cheek and forehead, but he was well enough to stand and that was all that was needed.

“Drink?”, he asked with a toothy smile as he lightly pressed a hand against his forehead and regained himself. He didn’t do well after stressful situations. He was quite surprised he hadn’t thrown up by now. With a heave he pushed off of his heels and took a few steps down the hallway toward the way out of this god forsaken place.
