Giggles hulking grey body stood out from the bright sparks and flames of the master forge behind him. His huge shoulders were sagged, his back curved, his thick fingers rapped around his swords handle and his chin resting on the hilt. He let a great snort of a sign rush out from his small nostrils as a number of children stared and pointed and giggled at the huge man.

“Get out of here!”, he roared playful toward them with a lazy sweep of a hand. A few of the little girls let out playful screams and some of the boys stuck their tongs out, but they were all left soon enough. He grinned a toothy smile to himself for a moment and rose to his full high and lightly turn the great sword on it’s tip.

“I hate waiting”, he grunted heavily. He’d been here for around a hour now and his amour still wasn’t done. The forces had ordered him to better equip himself, seeing as his leather thong was meant to expose to much flesh. He did have the cheek to point out the fact he also wore a holster around his torso to hold his sword on his back, but his officers weren’t to happy with his remark.

"You're not very nice," she a high child like voice. When Giggles looked down, he saw an eight year old girl looking up at him. "Maybe you should be nice," she said pulling down her cloak's hood, revealing blond hair and bright mossy green eyes. "So what are you waiting for mister? And where'd you get the nice mask?" The child asked while holding a doll in her arms. She seemed rich in appearance but she had no guards with her, despite her young age nor did she have any adults yet she neither looked lost. In reality, she wasn't, she was going to her home to get something but she was in no real rush.

Indigo shuffled towards the armor shop, dragging her feet, looking tired of life. Truth be told she was tired of it and right now she was just automatically doing the daily routine and going through her agenda for the day. One thing on her to do list was to get a piece of armor she had gotten fixed. She looked down at kids swarming around on the street. One little boy stumbled straight on her ans she quickly grabbed him, keeping him from falling. Her tired and cold expression shifted to bright and gentle one. "Hey now, watch were you are going." She looked down at his wide, joyful eyes. Indigo smiled and let the boy go. She straightened her back and the armor smith noticed her from the door. "Sykes! He-heeey!" he yelped with a wide smile, petting his fat stomach. "Your order is almost done, just hang around and I'll get it to you!" Indigo nodded as an answer and looked around. She quickly noticed the large apperhead. Funny to see him with tiny children.

"You're not very nice,", "Maybe you should be nice,", "So what are you waiting for mister? And where'd you get the nice mask?"

“The mouth on you”, he said with a howl of laughter as he gazed down on the small child. She certainly told him his place. With a huff he tipped his sword and let the tip slip across then ground. With a thump he dropped the sword onto the ground and let it’s rattle for a moment.

“Your funny one aren’t yah”, he said with a smile as he dropped onto all fours and lent forward and low so his head was just above hers. “Pretty little thing to”, he grinned and moved back a little.

“I’m waiting for some armour to come out for me, sick of waiting to”, he chuckled to himself as he lowered himself down and sat in the dirt. He was still a good 5 and a half feet like this, yet he looked less threatening like this. “Oh and this isn’t a mask pretty thing”, he said with a smile as he lightly tap his skull. True it might look like one with that big grinning face painted on it.

"Your order is almost done, just hang around and I'll get it to you!"

Giggles turned his head toward another soldier, who luckily we be getting her gear in a bit, but there most likely would be a wait. “Alright”, he nodded with a smile toward her. A soldier like himself, she looked more of a soldier than him though, he looked more like a Barbadian than anything else.

"It isn't?" Ciri asked touching it lightly. Then she knocked on it and then stood back. "It looks like a helmet type thingy to me," she told him. Then she sat down, setting Maddie, her doll, in her lap. "What's the armor for?" She asked curiously, "There's no battle on," she pointed out childishly/

Then she saw the lady and looked to her curiously. "Hi Miss!" She said waving. She wasn't hard to entertain at all. "I'm Ciri and this is Mister...um..., what's your name Mister?" She asked turning to the man with a skull on hi head.

Indigo raised her brows when the child turned to her and started talking to her. She was kind and patient with children so her smile returned and her eyes had a serene look in them. Indi walked to the child and hunched down. "Well hello Ciri, I am Indi. How come you are here by yourself? Where are your parents?" Her smile remained as she spoke with a calm tone. Then she looked up at the apperhead nodding him a greeting. It was polite to note the more mature creatures around too though she usually didn't like adults much. Hard to trust them.

"It isn't?" , "It looks like a helmet type thingy to me,", "What's the armor for?", "There's no battle on"

He grinned heartily, letting the kid have some fun seeing as the skull was rather solid so it didn’t hurt, just best to avoid his eyes and nostrils seeing as their were rather sensitive. “There’s always a war, humans love to bicker it seems”, he replied with a smile and a nod.

"Hi Miss!", "I'm Ciri and this is Mister...um..., what's your name Mister?"

“Names Giggles”, he replied with a smile as he grinned back at the women as she came over to the kid.

"Well hello Ciri, I am Indi. How come you are here by yourself? Where are your parents?"

Giggle listened for a moment, he hadn’t thought to ask, but he wasn’t much bothered either. If she had folks they most likely knew where she was at and she most likely was friends with these other kids, so she was in safe hands if you asked him.

"Well...they are dead, been dead for a year," she said hugging her doll. "I miss them but I've made friends so it's okay," she said with a grin. She had no fear with them, even though they were all strangers. "What about you miss? Why are you here? Are you getting armor like mister..." she had to stifle a giggle before saying his name, it was funny to her as a child. "Giggles?" She finally finished.

"Sorry to hear that miss Ciri." Indi said calmly. Losing parents must have been hard. Still the little one seemed rather cheerful. All seemed well. Not her business to dwell into her life so she let it go.
"What about you miss? Why are you here? Are you getting armor like mister...Giggles?" This kid was curious. But yet again most kids were. They still enjoyed life and certainly weren't afraid to get personal. "Yes, I too am here for armor." She replied with a nod and stood back up as her feet were starting to get uncomfortably numb.

"Sorry to hear that miss Ciri."

Giggles rocked back and forth for a moment, he was a bit unsure what to do. He may seem a lot of older than he really was, but in truth he was only 16 years old and he did miss his people, yet he didn’t have much choose in leaving himself, he was to different.

"What about you miss? Why are you here? Are you getting armour like mister...Giggles?", "Yes, I too am here for armour."

Giggles rolled forward onto his toes and dipped his finger tips into the ground and dragged himself to his feet. “Hey Ciri, you want a piggy back?”, he asked with a grin as he peer down at her from his great height as he stood up straight. All day kids had been getting asked for them, he thought it might cheer the kid up seeing as they had been on a dull topic. “Hold old you anyway kid?”.

She smiled, "Sure. Then he helped her up and she looked down at Indigo and smiled, "Now I'm the tallest," she giggled. "Can we three be friends? I have another friend you guys would like. He's really nice, he gave me tea at the arena," she grinned. She was having fun with them.

Indigo laughed at the fast friendship the little one was suggesting. "I am sorry little one, you can call me your friend but I will have to stay here till I get my armor and then I will have to go see the chief of battle mages of my division." She said smiling, looking up at the small child resting on the shoulders of the apperhead. It sure would have been more fun to enjoy tea but she had her duties to follow. "Sykes! Your armor is finished!" She heard the smith call her name. Indi nodded to the two. "I will have to go now." She turned to head to the smith, who was holding her order up.

"Sure.”

Giggle smiled as he light rapped his thick fingers around her waist and lifted her up onto his shoulders like she was weighted no more than a feather. Her let her go once she seem steady enough on his shoulders and finally rose to his full height slowly in order not to scare her by the sudden change in height.

"Now I'm the tallest,", "Can we three be friends? I have another friend you guys would like. He's really nice, he gave me tea at the arena,"

Giggles chuckled merrily. This one certainly was a funny one, fearless, confident and quite the mouth on her, he brought a grin to his chops. Her folks must have been some real characters to raise a child like this one. He wondered for a moment what kind of father he would be, a poor one most likely.

"I am sorry little one, you can call me your friend but I will have to stay here till I get my armour and then I will have to go see the chief of battle mages of my division."

“Well you’ve got nothing to worry about lovely, I’ll stay your buddy as long as I live”, he replied with a chuckle, but for a apprehend, that wasn’t really much of a long contact. “Your alright to”, he said with a smile and a light wink toward the other soldier, she was a fine cut of women herself in his eyes.

"Sykes! Your armour is finished!"

Giggles eyes the smith for a moment then turned his glance away. He hated waiting, when would his gear be finished. No one had told him it would be done maybe the following day, they all presumed he understood how a forge worked.

"I will have to go now."

“Really? Can’t interest you in a pint then? My threat”, Giggles asked with a smile as he took a step forward and leaned down toward the women a bit, little Ciri was perched just above his big smiling head at the time, he had almost forgotten about her.

“Giggles!”, some one shouted in a tired voice. Giggles eyes flicked away from the soldier toward the coming man, who’s face was bright red from running. The fellow needed to loose some weight in Giggles books and the thick caterpillar of hair under his nose looked awful

“Yep that’s me”, Giggle replied as he straighten up and looked down on the man who looked a little put off now by the huge mass of Giggles body as he stepped into his shadow and glanced up at his face.

“A message for you”, he grunted as he pulled and small letter from his satchel and trusted it into Giggles now outstretched hand then made off down the street once gain, most likely to deliver another set of order to some other soldier of sorts around the city. With a frown and a grunt he tore the note open and quickly scanned over the page. “Well now, good news for one”, he said with a smile, then grin as he finished off reading the note. “I’m heading south to take part in a conflict for a small amount of time, finally some real action”, he said with joy in his voice. It also meant he could get out of his city and get back on the road. Orders stated he had to make his own way seeing as the ships captain wouldn’t take a apprehend, most likely because they can’t swim and their rather heavy and clumsy.

“Seems like a good reason to visit the pub!”

She nodded, "Well I'll see see you again miss Indigo." she smiled and bowed her head. When Giggles got the message, she leaned on his enormous skull and looked down at the paper. "What's it say?" She then asked Giggled curiously. Ciri could only make out a few words since she had not been formally taught to read. But for a girl like her and in her position, that was normal and the fact she had any reading skill at all was slightly impressive.

She liked being on Giggles shoulders though cause she felt tall and not so invisible. Being short, alot of people wouldn't notice her or hear her. Alot of times, people just shooed her away but in this desolate world, normally she was only looking for friends. People to trust and depend on in case the Prince or Jester ever leaved her. She learned that lesson quick, which was perhaps why she was so friendly and outgoing with strangers.
