Player Details Name: Red Age: 19 Contact Details: AIM, e-mail, pm How you found us: Rpg-directory Character General Details Name: Arcadian Arellias Age: 22 Gender: Male Race: Basilisk Profession: Monk Spell Caster: Yes Steamskilled: No Appearance Details Overall Appearance Description: Standing comfortably on his tail, he reaches a height of 6'4". He's a perfect example of a Basilisk in his prime, with a youthful and lively appearance. His hair is of a dull, sandy blond color, reaching the middle of his back, and layered to create a wispy look. Casually, his hair is down, but tied back into a braid during battle. Arcadian exhibits the typical body type of a Basilisk, with broad, muscular shoulders and skinny waist. He is fangless, only a couple of sharp ridges of teeth in the back, set into a somewhat wide mouth which doesn't reveal itself as anything extraordinary until he grins. His grin stretches across most of his face and some consider it a rather eerie sight. His eyes are amber, slender and slightly up-turned, and his skin is a slightly tanned peach-orange. His tail is ten feet long, patterned with spots of a dull, dark gray and a lighter, ash-colored gray. The pattern continues beyond his waist and up his back, conforming to his spine like an arrow. Patches of similarly colored scales have consumed the back of his upper arms as well as some creeping up the left side of his throat, stopping just beneath his eye. Arcadian generally wears long, flowing fabrics such as scarves and cloaks, and keeps his waist wrapped in such garments as well. He radiates of a very content, care-free, and relaxed aura. Personal Details Sexuality: Straight, prefers the look of humans, other basilisks, and on occasion, terebori Marital Status: Single Education: Began immediately on his sixth birthday, learning to read and write, as well as the foundation of magic techniques. At age nine he began his training in Earth magic, his instructor being one of the council of wisemen in his tribe. Training was intense every day, and downtime was spent reading up on the gods and studying other forms of magic. He has spent almost every day getting stronger, and only in recent years has been deemed worthy to graduate. Academic weaknesses: Arcadian is often in his own head, daydreaming, and will often lose focus because of it or flat-out stop paying attention. Though he knows all about other magics, he has never actively been against another kind of magic user in battle. Arcadian is extremely inexperienced. Main goal (dream) at this point in time: To become closer to the gods through their people, and gain as much knowledge as possible. Overall Personality Description: Typically a pacifist, he would prefer not to fight if it is an option. He is not strictly against it though, something that makes him a little bit different than most monks. Arcadian is an energetic and socially jovial individual, always excited to talk to people or tell and listen to stories. He's addicted to gaining knowledge, typically not the useful kind, but his favorite thing to do is get to know someone. Arcadian is an individual who appreciates the smallest, simplest beauties as well as respects the gruesome. He will often attempt to help people do the same in order to better their lives. He wears his heart on his sleeve, an open book for anyone to read, sometimes too open, and loves to make people happy. Arcadian could be considered a very good person, but though his heart is in the right place, his morals are a little bit skewed in some areas. He will kill if that is what needs to be done, he likes women and drunken fun a little too much, and he will lie from time to time for no good reason other than it makes a better story. He is a devoted and religious man, however he is open-minded and will not force his religion on anybody, as well as respect their own ideas. Background Details History/Background: He grew up in the mountains, born the third out of four children. His mother was a seamstress and his father was a miner, while his uncle was a monk, trained under one of the council chiefs. It was made known to Arcadian early on that he would have to decide which path to take, because if he did choose to study, he would have to begin as a child. After spending so many nights listening to his uncles great stories, he decided he wanted to be a part of them and began studying to become a monk. His uncle persuaded his master to train the child. It all began the following day. Most of his life was spent steeped in books and legends. When he wasn't training with the master, he was learning about everything else in the world of magic. It was a fairly good up-bringing with strong ties to his family and community, but he had become just a tad spoiled. At age ten, he began living on his own on the edge of the tribe's territory. The isolation was meant to help him get in touch with the gods. He learned to cook and hunt for himself, and once a month would visit his mother and father. The worst it ever got was the grueling training and the stress of the isolation. His abilities grew at an exponential rate until he had learned everything his region had to offer. With the good will of his friends and family, he has left from the mountains to seek out the knowledge of the great city. Arcadian is launching himself out into a world he doesn't understand, knowing no true pain or betrayal. Hehe exciting, first character to be played with our lovely new race
 He seems like a well rounded individual and you’ve described him well. His history also seems rather logical which I like
