“I believe, when we pass, we raise to the heavens meet, we meet the High power Aragos and link with our brother and sisters in aiding the elements vanquish the forces of the Void. Just someone passing….still isn’t something I can think pleasantly on like yourself. I envy you there”, she held a sad expression for a time and let her arms hang lifeless at her sides for a moment as she recalled the grief she felt at her lovers passing.

As he replied to her earlier question, she came back to life and took control of herself and bunched her fists softly at her side and brought forth a grin once more.

“Your have a idea of what you want then? Personally I would avoid the Khanzates , I’ve yet to meet one with any scenes of humanity”, the race itself were very unpleasant from what she had seen, anti social horrid little beast. She was glad they weren’t comment among the cities population.

“Very pretty Arcadian. I’ve not seen these flowers before”, she said with a smile as she moved over to the display of fine gardening and picked some of the small flowers and turned it softly in her finger tips. Rather exotic in her opinion. She let a toothy smile grasp her features as she fastened it to her hair. “Does it suit me?”, She asked with a charming smile.

“The city can be a hard place. Sometimes people over look the gifts the gods give us sadly”, she replied to his comment with a soft sign as she gazed over the local populations which was mostly made up of robes mages and men in suits here for business, the place always felt so fake to her.

“Hmm saying my shop would be cheating, seeing I live there. I guess the arena in the early hours before the masses arrive the completions begin. It’s rather pretty when the sun is rising into the heavens”, she replied with a smile. “Shall we be on our way?”, she asked with a smile but before he could answer she had already broken into motion and was making her way down the side lines which led out toward one of the main train stations in the area, where they could get a train straight to the market district.

“What kind of place would you like to visit in the city? If I like the idea, I might just take your there for might I say….a date of sorts, but as friends I’ll have you know, you’ve got to do your research first sir”, she added the last part with some cheek in her tone.

“Does it suit me?”

A lop-sided smirk bowed half of his mouth up. He said nothing because he couldn't say 'yes'. That purple flower in her hair, which had so many thick, spiraling petals and stems and seemed to hold a miniature galaxy, looked more like a weed next to her lovely features. Or it could have simply been that Arcadian's libido was running way faster than his perceptions, as it often did. Regardless, he followed into step (so to speak) beside her.

"What place would I like to visit? Mm. I have no idea. I'm not very sure of what this metropolis has to offer, but the arena does sound enticing. And as for the research," a cocky grin conquered his face, brows lifting for a dramatic expression as he held two fingers up, "...Give me two days and I can guarantee that if I don't know everything about your kin, I will know most of it."

His arms drifted behind him within the shade of his cloak. His eyes followed to the path they were walking. "But, yes. I am not familiar enough with the city yet to answer your question. I'm sorry. You can have another if you like."

“Two days then, I look forward to see your knowledge on the subject”, she beam, displaying her tooth grin. She listened with quite some interested as he explained himself and she was overjoyed with the chance to ask yet another question while on their little walk thought the streets of the street.

“Hmm how about, can you swim?”, the matter hadn’t crossed her mind to this time, seeing as the fellow did have some quite ‘different’ appendages, possibly the act of swimming might be difficult or maybe that tail helped, she was completely clueless at this time.

Breaking away from their current path, they moved off across a busy square. As Lilly moved though the busy masses, she tightly grasped her purse at her hip with some white knuckle ness in worry of getting knocked by a pick pocket of some kind.

The busy jolting crowd soon thinned and they came out into the entrance of the train station, which was quite the large structure, holding a number of platforms and stationed trains which were quickly being checked over by mechanics and mages to keep them moving.

Her question provoked him to laugh, highly amused at the sheer cuteness of her curiosity. Really, how lucky could he have been to run into her so soon after arriving? He must be in the favor of the Gods was all that he could imagine.

"Yes, I can swim," he grinned genuinely, glancing at her with the softest, most harmless eyes. "You've never seen a Basilisk before, but the great majority of us are focused on upper body strength. I can show you how it works sometime probably. We can save it for the fifth date. I don't suppose you're very keen on the idea of me seeing you wet and scantily clad, so I imagine we'd have to know each other a little longer." He was catching on a little bit from being so observant.

"You have seen a snake swim in the water, right? It's somewhat the same, only we're not as agile. It's actually rather hard to stay afloat in the same spot without moving around much. You can just move your feet and you're fine, right?"

He stopped when they reached the station, marveling at it. He had never seen anything similar to it before in all of his years.

"You know..." he began, trailing off and on. "...If you ever wish to, since you've been so kind as to escort and show me around town, I would be willing to invite you to my village. It's a lovely get-away. We get a lot of travelers. So I guess my question to you would be: Would you take me up on my offer?"

She let out a splutter of laughter at his comment about her not being to keen on the idea of him seeing her wet and scantily clad. In truth they had only just met, it was expected and in truth she wouldn’t be getting her kit off in his presents for some time.

Settling herself and taking a shallow sign of relief as he continued the conversation and didn’t dew. “I see, I can image that quite well, you paint a lovely picture by the way with your use of words. I dare say you’re a educated soul”, she added the last part with a nod of approval.

“Oh what a kind gesture”, she replied with a soft red blush to her cheeks. She dropped lightly into a curtsy and rose once again with a smile. “I wouldn’t normally rush into this kind of thing but sure, thank you very much for the invitation, I look forward to it.

“Shall we board a train?”, she asked with a smile as she began to walk over towards her platform which led directly to the market district. She quickly realised what she had done and stopped in her tracks and kicked herself for her foolishness. “I just wasted a question didn’t I”, she said with a smile and a light chuckle.

"Well, yes. I am a monk after all. I'd say knowledge is my vice. It is what propels me to do everything that I do, including coming here. There is only so much you can learn in a tribal community. For example, we have nothing like this mechanical behemoth. Nothing. The best of our technology is still simple machinery."

Arcadian tilted his head to the side a bit as she bowed and blushed. His blond locks swept across his face, caressing his cheeks carelessly. He ended up blushing slightly as well and shook his head, "I'm sorry, I cannot help but say that you are an exquisite creature, Lilly. I'm just fascinated and smitten with everything you do. I really admire your politeness and dignity."

He just stared at her for a moment in rapture, not even thinking that it might be offensive or awkward, before allowing the subject to change as they both boarded.

"Haha. No. I'm not a cheater. That doesn't count. Go ahead with another. I don't think I'd be satisfied if that were it."

When they had successfully arrived within the public transportation unit, he painfully pulled his eyes away from her to examine the inside of the man-made beast. It was then, and only then, that he actually noticed just how much he was being stared at. He began to feel uneasy and exposed. So many people... Arcadian shrugged, a motion that allowed his cloak to swallow him up, and reached back to raise his hood over his wily mane so that he would not be able to so easily see everyone else's stares. His tail, however, for the first time ever, felt very ...naked.

“Fascinating! I know little of the workings of major machinery but I’m a wiz at fixing a sawing machine up, I’ll have you know and it seems like your learning something about us Elves”, she said with a smile following his complement. His bluntness was rather refreshing yet unfamiliar. She believed she could easily become a custom with it, even inherit a bit of it.

As he drew his eyes away from her and gazed over the surrounding crowds, she felt a light fluster of shame roll down her spin as he rapped himself up in his robes. The people of this city were so rude, could they not simply divert their eye rather than staring!

“Are…”, She began as she raised a hand up toward his cheek. She left the natural reaction to place her palm against his cheek, meet his eyes and reassure him over the situation but direct contact, in this environment, she could not. She withdrew her hand with some shame and her face grew red as she lowered her head and eyes for her inability to help another.

Her temper simmered for a moment. What kind of person was she. It was clear he felt un easy, why couldn’t she simply comfort him, why couldn’t she grip his hand, grasp his arms, draw him close and comfort him. Her respectability in Elven society was nothing hirer than dirt. Fuck it!

“Come on, don’t worry about them”, she said with a smile as she rose her head and met his eyes with a some what determined look. With out permission, nor care for her surroundings, she slipped her arm around his and softly grip his hand with hers. Her heart was racing at this point, she could feel her free hand trembling as she drew it out of sight and behind her back.

“Come on lets get a move on”, Lilly said as she took control of her emotions and drew the pair of them forward toward the mass of machinery and magic and in though the side doors. “Another question perhaps…..What’s your village like?”, she asked with a smile.

His eyes darted to her hand with its movement immediately, the quick reaction being a side-effect of feeling like a trapped animal. Then to her eyes where they remained, intense and burning through her with an accidental curiousness just as surprisingly intense. A hot blush, redder than she had seen yet, had conquered his features, and as she lowered the hand, steeped in thought, his heart began to pound just as hard as her's with the entanglement of their limbs. Suddenly everyone else around him faded and he forgot to care as he squeezed her hand.

"Come on, don't worry about them."

"...Alright. I won't," he replied somewhat quietly, his gaze never growing any less sharp. For a brief moment, as his demeanor changed this way, he really seemed like something much stronger than he had been a minute ago. It was as if she were getting a glimpse of his massive potential.

He slithered beside her, keeping up just fine with where she was going.

"My village. Well, it's a very contented place. Everyone is very peaceful. Many family units... everyone knows one another... We're also all hard-workers and know the value of ourselves and those around us. We have festivals as often as possible, for any reason. It can be as simple as the weather being particularly nice. It's a good place. However, few know how to fight so I pray every night that my village will not be harmed. I think it would be very easy to invade it. We live in the mountains within a huge valley. Everything is fresh and green, and it rains often."

He fell silent, turning his head to look down on her within his hood in serenity. By talking about his homeland, his features had softened again and he was once more smiling at her in a tranquil and calmed fashion.

"Alright, your turn. What propelled you to make such an assertive move like this?" He gave her hand yet another affectionate squeeze. "You were thinking something between this and touching my face."

As the game into the train, Lilly couldn’t help but glance at the pairs reflection in a glass window. The pair, in fact looked well suited, even if they were so different. His high and build, complemented hers, making her seem just that bit more attractive, while his strength seemed to be ample enough to defend her from harms way.

During back to conversation she met his eyes and nodded and smiled at the highs and lows of the topic. In truth the place seemed very pleasant, better than here, where everything was busy and load.

“It sounds beautiful, I look forward to visiting it in the future”. His question was one that would take some pondering, for she yet knew him well enough to explain her social down fall and current situation in such a relaxed manner, it would come off as….someone unattractive.

“Elven social law forbids physical displays of public affection for one another, worse for uncoupled pairs. I…I just felt there was a need for such actions in this case….”, she paused for a moment and glanced down at the floor for a moment and let out a soft sign. With a jerk the train broke away from the platform and slowly began to shift toward along the tracks and parted from the solid mass that was the upper level and began to trail down the track that rose a good 50 feet above the middle levels. With a step of reassurance, Lilly took a stp back from the window and gave Arcadian’s hand a squeeze.

“I’m affaired of highs….well more a fear of falling”, she explained with a smile . Her eyes stayed within the carriage and did not trail off out the window and toward the great drop below. “Was your trip here pleasant? What kinds of places did you pass though?”.

"Don't worry, Lilly." he moved closer to her, and situated himself between her and the window. "I won't let you fall." He gave her a reassuring smile.

At the mention of elvish laws and morals, his brows raised. Ah. That explained a lot. But there was a very easy solution... "Pardon me, my dear, but I need my hand for a moment."

He gently pulled his hand out of her's and selflessly began to unfasten his cloak. When it had been done, he pulled the cloth off of him with a flourish and, standing directly in front of her, pulled it around her frame, fastening it there before reaching back to pull the hood over her head, gently tracing the hem of the fabric just around her face in what could be interpreted as a sensual motion.

"Now no one knows you are an elf and you do not have to restrain yourself. Relax. You're in good company, okay?" Another smile.

Without the shroud of fabric, he was fully exposed to anyone who wished to look upon him, including Ms. Lilly. His shoulders were broad, angular, and seemed as rugged and hard as the mountains of which he spoke. His back curved and flowed into his tail, and through the string laced down his back to keep his shirt together and closed, on-lookers would be able to see glimmering scales in a spotted design. true enough, what he said about Basilisks having much upper body strength was correct.

"I passed mostly uninhabited land. Farms. Small cottages. After the mountains there are rivers, and after that the land become less lush and untamed, unfortunately, until I arrived here. And you. Who do you wish to be, if you are unsatisfied with the restraining harshness of not being able to touch another person when you wish to?"

His reassuring smile and soft words gave her some comfort. Rather lucky really, she had hired the services of both a gentlemen and a personal guard and possibly something of a love interest in the near future. She released her grasp at his command and utter a soft apology and nodded her head slightly as she let her hands slip down her side and offer her hips as she straightened her lavish green dress out.

A soft chill rolled up her spin as he drew his cloak off and fastened it about her. Her eyes dropped for a moment, looking to the ground though a slight twinge of embracement seeing as she hadn’t become custom to this lack of respect for Elven way as of yet. “Lovely company it is but I can’t forget my roots as much as it pains me, but thank you”, she added the last part with a glance of her soft expressions and a fixture of her eyes.

His figure was everything she had expected, strong and powerful, a good appearance for a personal guard and or escort. His tail was also more viewable and it was even me fascinating than before. The colours were fabulous.

“Sounds like quite the interesting journey. Myself I would love to break away from my business for a time and go for w wonder, but the road is so full of dangers these days”, she explained. Her features at this point had been partly cloaked in a soft black shadow, yet her eyes still bared so much energy.

“In truth I do agree with many aspects of Elven cultural rules. I guess I’ve just become accustom to them and in truth I word rather live under Elven laws then be in a Khanzates culture, far less barbaric. I’ve studies many different races and found many inviting but in truth I’ve become happy with who I am….well the new me that is. I made a dramatic change in my life once I met my first husband, Nereh protect his soul. I’ve take on a lot of human culture but I must confess I do suffer from the need to be accepted with my own kind”, she let out a soft sign and pondered on her weakness for a time as the train rolled downwards toward the middle level and passed between some of the taller structures in the area.

“What do you think of the city so far?”

"So ...this is what I am getting from you: you are a hybrid. In which case, I will respect your elvish morals... and soon as I'm done holding your hand." With that, he re-wound their arms and laced his fingers into her's. "If I make you uncomfortable, please tell me to stop."

“What do you think of the city so far?”

"Hmm..." he pondered for a moment, lifting his head to take another look around. This time, he met the stares with a challenging glare, which in turn forced a few eyes to turn away. "It is almost as I had expected it, only more ...realistic and practical, if you get my meaning. I knew it would be like this, but not to this extent. Overall, I think I'll like it here. There seems to be an overwhelming amount of information everywhere right now. It has me fairly excited."

He thought back to her previous question of where he would like to go, and realized that he had had an answer for her. The library and the home of the scribes, he thought, he would like to visit, but more on his own time, not her's.

"You know, I find it fairly funny that you are such a civilized lady showing such interest and kindness to, in comparison, a neanderthal. Hehe. I can imagine your face when we travel to my village as the shaman and women dance around the fire pit in paint and little to no clothing. You may also want to know that you shouldn't expect anything to be clean there. But I digress. Next question. Who is your family?"

“Oh I’m happy with this right now”, she said with a smile as she lightly squeezed his hand to clarify her point. She settle up against him and let her shoulder softly press against him. As he explained his feelings on his time in the city so far she could relate. In her childhood she was introduced to the lower levels of the cities and investigated their culture, which in truth was far different from her upper class life style. She also felt uneasy in the first few weeks, standing out of place and receive hurtful glances and impolite behaviour.

“Oh”, she let out a soft flutter of laughter at his comment. “In truth it might be a breath of fresh air. Something alien, can sometimes be what we’re looking for”, she replied with a smile and a light squeeze of his hand hoping he would catch her drift on the matter, yet not seem to forward with her comment.

“My family….well lets just say when you indulge in your research about my people, your come across the Remington family name I expect. I’ll let you discover the truth for yourself, hopefully it will not effect our friendship in any way”, the topic of her family…was hard to talk about, seeing as she had done them such a injustice with her actions, when she retreated away from them in search of love, yet it did leave her some very sentimental memories she would always keep.

The Train drew into the train station and slowed and finally stop. With a global jolt in movement, most passengers rose to their feet and made their way off the train. Lilly followed the masses and moved out of the trains doors into the middle levels market which was alive with sounds and smells. Behind them people flocked onto the train.

“ Hmm are their any kinds of wares or stores you would like to visit first before travelling to my shop?”

When the train stopped, he stayed beside his traveling companion, following her but sure to keep up as he dreaded loosing her and her hand in the throng of people.

Into the market, he once again rose to his full height, this time in excitement of the scene before him. He could only take in so much with just his first sights, but unfortunately this also meant he couldn't spare his gaze for Lilly. The tip of his tail behind him began to move, sliding back and forth on the ground and flopping around as if it would become detached and run away.

"Ooh! Yes, actually! I need to purchase a weapon. The one I used back home wasn't my own, you see. And in order for you to have the best bodyguard, he needs a weapon... Staff shop?"

He glanced down at her finally inquisitively.

"By the way, that's not my question for you."

Another grin.

“Oh do you see this as a lasting occupation? My, my and I just though this was a one time thing”, she replied with a light fluster of laughter. Glancing over the scene before her, she attempted to think of a straight forward root to Agatha Yate weapon store, a personal friend of hers.

With a will she forced the pair of them forwards though the hustle and bustle of the people, knocking shoulders with some and avoid others. In a natural reaction, Lilly’s hand had grasped her purse and held it with a white knuckled tightness.

In a firm voice “Your question then?”, it was blatant that the masses annoyed her and placed her partly on edge by the way she took great strides, meeting the eyes of those before them, forcing them to side step in turn.
