Background

Since she was a small child Indigo Sykes was trained by her father to fight. Soldier's blood has always ran through her veins. Along the years she learned a lot till she entered a militaristic school, from which she headed to the army. There she was trained to be the merciless butcher that she is now.

She has faced a lot while battling against enemies and protecting those who could afford to hire her. Killing and violence is her second nature, like she has learned. Indigo has never had the time to consider starting a family or settling down with a man, which has sometimes caused her worry. In the end she is loyal to the army and will not abandon the battle mages. She has climbed up ranks and is a respected soldier.

History Since

Classic case of drunk and stupid

Indigo has returned from a mission with the army and joins fellow soldiers for a drink at a local bar. After a while she has managed to get drunk, turning into a shameless creature, wanting to kick dwarfs she encounters.

She is joined by a man who introduces himself as Logan. Once the day is over the man accompanies her to her house, listening to her cynical statements about war and the prize of being a "hero".

The King's Last Parade

Unwilling to attend, but obligated to do so, Indigo marches in the King's last parade. Protecting the king's coffin she accompanies them to the spot where the corpse is to be burned. However, the parade is disrupted by the valuable coffin exploding without a warning. This causes the mob to panic, creating chaos which is near uncontrollable. She tries to calm things down with her order and manages to do so, but only with a small amount of people. Caught off guard by the explosion she is worried for the safety of people, and herself...

Making a Stand

Indigo and few of her fellow warriors are ordered to help local guards to locate and captivate a man accused of murder. They scatter to the city and use their tracking skills, while calmly hunting down the man like a pack of hungry wolves. It is an unusual task for warriors for usually when they are called people do not care if the hunted come back dead or alive. This time the prey has to be delivered alive, which makes the soldiers less reluctant to run into the target, taking the mission less serious.

Indigo manages to locate the murderer but discovers she is not the only one. She faces a fighting scene between a guard and the murderer. At first Indigo just observes the situation but ends up getting in the middle of it as she sees the guard doesn't have the clear upper hand. She fights the murderer and is about to finish him off when the guard stops her.

After a while of talking she realizes she has met the man before. It is the same Logan she faced at the bar recently. After receiving congratulations Indigo is invited to join Logan to the visit at the Inquisitors and she agrees, not having anything else to do.

Falling in Line

When visiting the Royal Inquisitor with Logan, Indigo is offered a position amongst them but feeling that she couldn't promise delivering people back to them alive, she denies the offer. Her nature is a butcherer, a hunter for a kill, not a hunter who likes to then watch her prey in a cage.

Tooling up

While waiting for her armor to be fixed at the local smith's, she encounters an Apperhead playing with a child, which to her is an unusual sight and rather amusing. She feels worried when she doesn't see the child's parents and ends up in a conversation with her. The Apperhead introduces himself as Giggles and the child reveals to be called Ciri, however, she has to leave them as her order gets done and she must hurry back to the base.
