Remember when I dove into the crowd
And I got a bloody knee under my skin, a mark from wiping out
It brings back the memories
Every bone's been broken
And my heart is still wide open

They walked away. From the BPRD, and from a life of fighting. Liz knew better, though. She knew Hellboy needed it. Needed to feel useful, to work. So she worked with Johann and Abe, and a month later, just as Hellboy was getting antsy, they had their own base, and their own organization.

With each scar there’s a map that tells a story what a souvenir of Young love's like jumping out
An airplane riding a tidal wave on an ocean of emotion
My heart rips me wide open

The rift caused by the breaking of the truce by Prince Nuada is large, and growing. The unseen world pushing at the boundries of the seen world. More are coming out, wanting to be a part of the world. Some to help, and they look to the BPRD, and to the new Outreach group, some to cause havoc, to destroy what they see as an encroaching mankind. Keeping the peace isn't easy. New allies help and an old friend joins them again.

And I cover up these scars
(We’ll make it we’ll make it but we break it)
And I can’t stop seeing stars
(lets hope not die)
Whenever you’re around
Around

Still, there are more problems then just keeping the peace, the words of the Angel of Death still ring in Liz's ears. She made a choice, and has yet to learn the repercussions of it. She doesn't regret her choice, but she hasn't shared it with anyone either. So the group moves on, creating their own family and extending it as they move farther into the unseen world, and try to find a balance between. In the end, they realize they have to make their own choice.

I can’t stop
Don’t care if I lose
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are [size=7]Self Inflicted
