Administrator Posts: 538 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: April 13, 2008	Lilly Remington His/Her Background: Lilly was born in Istria, up on the upper levels of the city with the more wealthy folk. Due to Elves long life spans Lilly’s family had gathered a vast fortune about themselves from their trade with silk cloth and silken items. Family life was pleasant for her. Due to her families trade, Lilly’s was taught from a early age how to sew, use and repair the equipment and pick the finer fabrics, as well as how to measure customers up for garments. These lessons were as much enjoyable as beneficial to her, seeing as she greatly enjoyed the company her family. Due to the structure of Elven society most of the men who would have been in Lilly’s life if she were human were off fighting wars or in distant lands trading, so she was raised only by the female sex and rarely made contact with males. Later she was later taught the skills on how to make sales and how to deal with people from different cultures and backgrounds. This lead to her being taken out into the city often to different levels of the city to watch different races and socials groups and study them in order to understand them as a customer, seeing as most other races differed from her own kind greatly. As she grew older, she was let out into the city more and more on her own in order to study different social groups and cultures but with every day she grew more and more curious of the other sex and other races. At the age of 17 she fell for a handsome gentlemen by the name of Gareth. At first it was nothing more than puppy love, there relationship secret, seeing as they both came from different social groups and were different races, which Lilly’s family would not accept but as time went on their love grew and grew yet they never indulged in physical affections for it went against Elven rules. Finally Lilly plucked up the courage to display her love for Gareth even if it meant to sacrifice her relationship with her family and her social status. She invited Gareth to her home for dinner. The event was outrageous. A human from the middle levels, in their home! Her family were already fearful of the worse and didn’t want to up set anything further but during the meal Lilly placed her hand upon his. A simple action but displayed their love for one another and their physical contact in public went against even the most basic of Elven rules. The pair were thrown from the house hold and banished from the family. In that single night Lilly social status was totally destroyed within the Elven community. She was quick to invest what money she had of her own into creating her own silk business but it took almost forty years for her to start to make any real profits for herself and her husband. The pair had wed in their fourth year of being together, yet never had child, for it was impossible for their to races to breed together. As the years passed Lilly kept her youthful looks and gained a healthy glow while Gareth grew older and weaker. Each day growing closer and close to death. Finally on his 67th birthday he passed away in his sleep. The lose took a heavy toll on her heart and she was stuck in her sick bed for over a year as she tried to recover from the great strain on her heart and the emotional damage. Once recovered she was advised to take up studies in the Church to possibly make up for the sins she had done to her family and she did so. It took her eight years to realise she had done nothing wrong and finally left the church to start her business up once again. Luckily by this point she already had a wealth of contacts, so she wasn’t starting from scratch. Its been two years now and she feels like she can move on now and put Gareth’s death behind her.
