Would not pick an argument with that comment. Also, agree with Nick that they have their own individuality and at 75 years + are doing the job for which they were built. As diesels, they are an important part of the development of railway's and as I said before, Neptune is the oldest diesel hydraulic locomotive in the world. Robin Hood's wheels are still in Grimsby, but hopefully, member Johnt5293 will get the profiling complete in the next few weeks. When they get back, hopefully a weekend of putting them back in should see the engine out on the line for the summer. Will keep you updated on progress. David |
