 Perhaps it's full of fuel to enable Gladiator to do a full trip of the line without needing a refill? ;)

But then from what I heard, the High Speed Miniature Urban Transit Minirail dream isn't over yet! (At least in some heads...)

Imagine what a restored Gladiator (to Amber Arrow style) would be like... apart from being a deathtrap, with a generator van in tow or with modern battery technology it would be brilliant. There aren't enough railcars and railbuses on miniature railways, IMHO.
