what I was saying about taliasin was it is a scale model not a repilca cos if you build a replica it is the same as the original
yes some locos have had bits changed to fit new main line hights but that would be a modification not a full rebuild i.e VoR number 9 was down on swindon books as a rebuild of the davies metcalf tank but was a new build done with out the cost of the paper work for the first two so it was for ages a rebuild but was not ergo a paper rebuild
we could split up rebuild,replica,copy,scale model,modified but where each line is is anyones guess, but I say so what, as long as we have working steam in this country does it really matter as long as it is still doing its job which is to haul train loads of passengers who most of the time dont know the history its just a train ride and the are happy and thats what you need happy passengers cos one will lead to more and that appiles to all sizes of locos from the main line size down to us in miniature railways
It may only be 15" but it is fun to play with
