I agree. For example on the Bure Valley Railway locomotive No. 7, there is a "rebuilt" plate, but in fact at the time stated very little was done to the locomotive other than a normal overhaul and a repaint. On the other had, BVR No. 6 "Blickling Hall" had a total rebuild from the frames up (which were straightened!), new cylinders and a new front end, etc., yet returned to traffic in 2004 with nothing on it about a rebuild. It is BVR policy to improve its locomoyive fleet as each loco needs attention / overhaul. |
