Zetaboards uses a form of user-login based on IP addresses. It creates a session based on your IP address - not the individual computer. What that means is, if there are two computers on the same IP address and one of them is logged in to MRW Forums, then anybody on the other computer going to the forums will be logged in as you too. For example, if I go to the office and log in as me on my desk computer, I can then go over to another PC anywhere in the building (as most company/school/organisations/home wireless networks share one IP address) and be logged in to the forums on that just by visiting the forum homepage. I don't need to have the Forum open on the first machine for this to happen. There's unlikely to be a problem as I doubt any of my esteemed colleagues would wish to visit the forums but if there are people at school/colleges then there is potential for mischief! So, if you're using the Forums on a shared network, do remember to log out - else anyone else at that location can use your login. PS This is not an excuse to deny responsibility of any posts and claim that they're not really you...! |
