This has been posted on other forums but thought it might be of interest here due to the prototype. A balsa wood model of an R.& E.R built Top wagon. Following the acquisition of Sir Arthur Heywood's rolling stock the Ratty set about making several (7?) of these wagons to Heywoods design, clearly stencilled with N.G.R (Narrow Gauge Railways) down the side, left in bare wood the angle iron was also a bit different in design. ![]() All wood is wood, all metal is card blacked with permanent marker, the rails are paper clip wire likewise treated. Inside you can see the botched N.G.R lettering, done with an asatate/CD marker, I didn't seal the wood first so it spread through the grain. I tried again on the other side, sealing the wood with a spot of superglue first. No sandpaper...agh... |
