Just found a photo gallery of the new 7 1/4" line at the Colne Valley Railway, Essex. See here.

I quite like the way it seems to weave through the standard gauge sidings (and even across one).

Now we know the track and sit-in carriages (as well as the Hymek-thing which isn't in the photos) came from Higher Polgassic/Rode, and the S/O loco and sit-astrides were sold on eBay a few months back, but the questions are:

  • Where did the S/O and sit-astrides come from exactly?? I seem to remember the ad said a country park in the Bristol area?
  • And what's that nice little blue shunter - anyone got any more info on that?

Cheers

Great find Charles! Good to see the equipment we followed on Ebay in use at the new line.

Interesting crossing over the standard-gauge track!

Thanks
Peter

Last weekend we popped in to the CVR whilst on a roadtrip.

Had a nice trip along the standard gauge line, was shown the interesting standard gauge loco collection, and had a look at the non-operational 7.25" line. Photos below.

Body of the 'hymek' is now at the trackside, and according to the website the body is now a Class 31.

Anyone know where the enclosed coach bodies came from?
