Today, at 4:15, the last passenger train left Allostock Jct forever. The fire was dropped at hills for one last time. the loco was cleaned, put in the shed and the door locked.

Hills Miniature Railway alas is no more . peter has pics from yesterday

Your train is cancelled due to the lack of the tea can on the footplate.

All stock will go to brookside - the possibliity of the diesal being sold as its too small for brookside - if the blue exmoor ever comes up for sale DONT BUY IT the boiler is shot on it.

I would had thought the GP40 would go to Brookside as a standby for Mighty Max. Time will tell....

Here are the pictures as requested by Sir nag a lot of my visit on Saturday. :P

The Greatrex 2002 built GP40 'Sir Richard' was in use with 3 sit-in coaches, the fourth being in the shed. Notices confirmed the last date of operation being the Sunday. 'Ayshire Yeomanry' was on display in the shop.

Richard,

The website has been up for a long time, they now have the new official website: http://www.hillsgardencentre.com
I guess someone forgot to take the old one down.

I also wondered that Murray, would be a shame to see them not go to a good home.

Thanks
Peter
