You're right, it's a 4wPH built by Nigel Tambling in 1999.

Good find Peter. I imagine the Tambling machine is now going to be abandoned!

To follow up the story of the new mystery 10.25" locomotive, it has now been delivered to Lappa Valley!
Interesting stuff, thanks for that Peter :)

I hope Duke of Cornwall does still see some use now that there is a new loco, though; it would be a shame to see it left to gather dust in a shed, like a certain other Severn-Lamb Western I could name... :(

Tim, looking at your Lappa Valley pix from last year, it seems the HST there has been rebuilt as a 4w-4PH, whereas they were normally 4-4wPH. I beleive the 10 1/4" N Tambling 1999 loco is now Dsm and its 8hp Briggs & Stratton may be in the APT loco. Cheers , Dave

Same goes for Gladiator...and the idea of a 15" gauge overhead-electric railway remains an intriguing one...
It was done in Rhyl next to the miniature railway years ago in the form of a 15" tramway.....

A very nice, much needed new website for the railways. Doesn't mention all the locomotives, but makes interesting viewing now the less, with some new photos taken on a very sunny day!

Am looking forward to visiting in August.

Thanks
Peter

The Royal Scot appears to have been cosmetically restored - I've just seen these pics on Flickr:
