Please can we discuss Robin Hoods current state and history, rather than Waverleys.

If you would like to discuss Waverley, please start another topic.

Thanks
Peter

I was so pleased to see that Joe Nemeth had finished this. It really is something to aspire to, seeing as I'm building one in 7 1/4"!

I would love to have a good look at Robin Hood in person, as I think it looks a cracking thing.

Extremely glad to know the loco is restored as I knew her (his?) regular driver from Weymouth although sadly he has now passed on.

On a related topic where is it to be based? I had seen that on Joe's website independently of this thread, assumed it would be the Cattle County railway but the link from the interactive map on their website to the mini-railway shows a diesel and the link from the news page http://www.cattlecountry.co.uk/news/new-train/26 refers to a new train on the existing track.

As it is a 5 hour round trip for me up to Gloucestershire no wish to waste my money as although not anti-diesels I would be going to see the steam stock. If the Berkely steam railway is somewhere else close by is there a website for them?

Since posting the above I have done a further search and realise the steam has gone from Cattle Country See link - http://www.miniaturerailwayworld.co.uk/cattlecountry.html

However my request for info' on where Robin Hood will steam remains a live one.

I believe Robin Hood will be going to a private owner.
