I've recently received the sales particulars for the Colliford Lake Park in Cornwall, and of interest is a paragraph reading:
Does anyone know if there is what we would consider a "proper" miniature railway here, or whether it is a fairground-style ride of some sort? I can't find any mention of a "mini railway" on their website. We should be viewing the site at some point in the near future so if no-one knows anymore we will find out! |

This isn't the park with holiday lets that was marketed a few years back, was it? There was a share issue or timeshare thing and included a 7.25 gauge railway amongst the chalets, lake and caravan areas... |

No; if I remember correctly that was a scheme based around the ex. Age of Steam site down near Penzance. Colliford lies roughly half way between Bodmin and Launceston and certainly didn't have any form of railway when it was previously sold around 6/7 years ago. It would make a perfect site for something grand in 10 1/4" gauge though... |
