Found this earlier - a shot of the Fairbourne with a faked Tilt Shift process applied to it.
It's almost as if a model has been made.

See picture at: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3374/3195636178_baac315b46_o.jpg

If you'd like to learn more about the technique, read here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt-shift_miniature_faking

Amusing effects can be done to stop-frame films like here:
World Magazine - Mardi GrasWorld Magazine - Mardi Gras
Collection of Tiltshift cars and trains

And you can do it to your own photos here:

http://tiltshiftmaker.com/

Go on - try a few on some of your miniature shots and post them here. Best ones are those that have a long depth of field and main content in the centre.

If I haven't seen shifting sands myself I'd be questioning its existance. Thats bizarre!

Here's one of mine for starters - Ravenglass in 2006.

And Bekonscot last year - in model form! Not quite so good, as the roofs need to be unbluured:

24 might be difficult to scale down!!
Your train is cancelled due to the lack of the tea can on the footplate.

This is what happens when teamwork occurs!

Callum, my picture was from the Orchard Farm Railway at Hunmanby.

Of your three, the Jay one is good, but the Owl one is the best yet! The lighting really helps, looks like a low-lit model! Well done :D

Definitely the Owl pic, Callum. I think a large field of depth ('f' number for those who have the slightest idea how to operate a camera) helps create the illusion better... ...

I'll try some of mine later... ...

Cheers,
