The GCR 4-6-0 that was at the Bure Valley for a while?
It would match the breakdown train nicely.

Gents, could it possibly be the GCR 2-8-0 which was at the Bure Valley and left there to be completed, by any strange chance ? Cheers , Dave

Looks good! Is it a runner yet? How much work needs to be done to complete it?

Not much, is it on loan to the CCLR or is it now a resident? Any more details about it?

As far as i know it's a resident, being completed by 2 CCLR volunteers in a garage for the last 4 years secretly.

Good Lord that is beautiful! I remember seeing her at the BVR a few years ago, but I had no idea she was so close to completion. I really want to come to Cleethorpes and see her; why oh why does it have to be so far away? :rolleyes

Very good, i would love to see it running, it would make a great visiting engine to other lines, just imagine it at KLR. :)

The 04 was transported to Cleethorpes on Friday. The owners have done a huge amount of work on it like new axels and axel boxes, cylinder work, all the valve gear etc. It requires a cold boiler inspection and a steam test. To see it in the pics does not do it justice. It has 5" x 7" cylinders 14" drivers and is around 2.5 ton.
