Congratulations to all involved in this project, she looks stunning and a far cry from the collection of parts that it started as. Can't wait to see it. Thankyou also for allowing MRW to have the first look at your latest loco!

Wow, so she really is quite a big engine. I wonder how much she will happily pull. On another note she does have the same size driving wheels as Sherpa at Fairbourne.

Its actually not very big, smaller in height than the sutton's easily i'd say, she should be quite a powerful engine, with a tractive effort of 1600lbs which is on par with a Romney pacific (Number 1 used to work that out). I'm looking forward to seeing how she performs.

She is about the same size as a Sutton, if not a tadge bigger. The tender is based on the Sutton tender. The plan so far is, Cold Inspection this Wednesday, with a steam test sometime before Easter, then running in and a launch into service at the May Gala along with Little Titan. All this could change, but being eqaul, I think 2nd to 4th of May the place to be is Cleethorpes.

Now that is DRAFT would be nice to see more scale locos in 15" or see this one alongside the GCR 2-8-0 in 10 1/4"

The 04 was steamed for the first time today, and taken for a bit of a jolly round.

It was great to see her in steam today, Congratulations to Ray and Roger for their hard work over the past few years. She has already gained the affectionate nickname of 'Rodney' :D

Congratulations to Ray and Roger.

At the BVR we knew the ROD was coming, but it was very pleasing to see it in action.

Best wishes,

Yes they are a little over scale. And yes it is so it can work with the sutton stock.
