Craig,
can you offer me a history of this little seen loco? The only other pictures i've seen of it are on Sam Dixons Ravenglass fotopic site, running at the 125 celebrations.

The loco was built by Joe Brown at Steamtown, Carnforth in 1998/9. Austin bought it off him when steamtown was about to close and we took it for a thrashing to the Ratty gala. the loco then did good service for us at Windmill Farm before Austin sold it th Bressingham in exchange for 5 of the coaches. The loco is powered by a Ford York 2.4L Diesel engine (transit!) and a Rover auto gearbox with prop shaft drive to each bogie and then axle via a diff unit.
A nice machine, sister to the baby deltic at Markeaton Park (formally at Cleethorpes)

Hi All.

Does anyone know the current state of the ex steamtown "Warship" sister to the Baby Deltic at Markeaton, thats currently at Bressingham?

Also is the engine owned by the group or by a private individual ?

Thanks Guys :rolleyes
Keith.

Keith,

I have merged your post with an old topic of ours about it.

As for current state, I have not seen a more recent picture from the ones mentioned above.

I imagined it will be owned by Bressingham

Thanks

Its owned by Bressingham, was "exchanged" by Austin for 5 of their coaches a good few years ago now. Interestingly they use an old coach bogie with a wagon body on as a coupling adaptor. How much it gest used is questionable, however it is their only reserve loco as they only have one pacific in service at once.

Just come across this picture of the Warship in use at Bressingham - using the coupling adaptor wagon as mentioned by Craig.

Thanks
