As part of the marathon trip around the NG railways of Snowdonia (part two in June...) we had an afternoon on the Fairbourne Railway near Barmouth. Alex and the team showed us a great time - and we had three return trips. Embarrassing photo opps aplenty!

Other lines we visited (photos will appear in other sections...) were Llanfair & Welshpool, Talyllyn (and NG Museum), Welsh Highland (C), Ffestiniog, Llangollen, Rich Morris' monorails and Narrower Gauge Railway, Bala Lake and also the Corris (where there was also the start of a short 7.25" gauge line).

I need a holiday.

Nice photos - great to see Gwril in use and Russell back in one piece! Her new (old - originally from Elaine) dome looks good too, though it does leave the coal rails rather exposed - they look a little too "boxy" now...

Hi

Glad Thomas and yourself enjoyed your visit to Fairbourne and the chance to come on the footplate with me :) When are you coming again though is the big question?
