Sorry about the delay folks; I have finally collated the answers about the three engines into individiual pages on the SLS Website that are now live. Hopefully when you experts out there get your hands on these new pages you won't find too many errors from the collation process. Some gaps still to fill with dates and movements but fairly good pedigree pages for all three now.

I have also found the connection between the three, Dudley Zoo, and therefore why the pictures were originally collected by Stanford Jacobs.

Just a thought, as the date on the builders plate of the Rio currently running at Weymouth Bay appears to be 1990 (Ref 81 - 1 - 90) was the steam locomotive 1001 a part exchange trade-in for supply by Severn Lamb of the new Rio to Weymough Bay? Just another small part of the history of the locomotive if that was the case.
