Managed to get a few shots of Richard Batten's "Henry Greenly" yesterday whilst it was on display in the new workshops at Romney

Austin is currently converting a 5" gauge scotsman into a 1/3 scale Typhoon.....

Bet you can't get that to 25 mph :P
Looks a lovely model, i like the way that the cabs set out just as the normal romney loco's, nice touch.

A beautiful model, really captures the elegance of the Romney engines in as-built condition.

I think the best RHDR 'model' is Derek Walsh's 'Hercules' in 2.5" gauge. Somewhere I have some film of it in action on the Romney Marsh Model Engineers track - if I find it I will post it on utube - if I can remember how. There is also a 10.25" gauge 'Southern Maid' in Canada or somewhere on that side of the pond - have only seen a couple of rather dark pictures of it but it is very good and very large!

Derek,
There was a picture of a 7 1/4 engine published in 7 1/4 NEWS on the front cover of issue No. 52 Spring 1990. Perhaps some 7 1/4" members may research this further. I seem to remember that the engine was in Australia.

Tintern Abbey, the 7¼ Romney loco, was for sale recently in America on Ebay. It didn't sell as the owner changed his mind, despite and offer from over here. Somewhere I have the drawing and spec stored for the loco
