After my first trip from Sheffield to Denby Dale station (which was very nice), was met by Craig and we popped in to the 4 mile Kirklees Light Railway. There have been numerous improvements made since I last visited, the cafe and shop has been refitted, Shelley is developing quickly and not to mention the restored DMU. Good to see. Fox was in operation on our visit, which was looking and running very well fresh from the workshops, whilst Hawk was also in steam, I think doing driver experience courses earlier on in the day. Jay was also with the freight train at Shelley. Thanks to Stuart and the team at KLR for their hospitality. Here are some photos: ![]() Fox stands at Shelley ![]() Fox is topped up with water, from the make shift tower, whilst the proper one is under construction ![]() Fox and Jay at Shelley ![]() Fox sets off to run round its train at Clayton West ![]() Leaving Clayton West |

Yes, members everywhere, making star appearances. The sunny weather obviously attracted people and volunteers alike to the railway, as it was busy. Thanks Peter |
