Sorry about this post but I'm looking for a thread about Severn Lamb Dougal.
The thread discusses the changes being made at Evesham and the addition of a tender.

I would use the search engine but it's not working at the moment.

Thanks.

P.S. I'll probably find the thread myself now I've made this post.

Its already got the new tender (and very nice it is too), and AFAIK its getting a new larger boiler in the next few weeks.

I've got a picture somewhere, when i can find it i'll post it on here

Thanks guys,

The image looks great, thanks Richard. (I don't suppose you have a high definition jpg?)

The info about the boiler is interesting, would love to know more.
Hoping to get over to Evesham for my first visit very soon. Would love to know what would be in steam before I go, I might give them a ring.
Andrew.

Did you have to remove a portion of the frames at the rear to attach the tender or does the old driving position remain but with the rear cab section removed so that you reach over to get to the coal?

I believe it will be a bit bigger yes. The current boiler is going to see further use in a miniature railway loco too, but not 15" gauge. Its about 14" dia, ironically slightly smaller than the 7¼ K36 design (according to a source who made the replacement boilers for Dobwalls and Lappa Valley!). I've driven her round there a few times and she always amazed me with both power and steaming capabilities.
